Hello and welcome to my hopeful cycle yet!
Today I am cd 11 and I had my first IUI this morning. Since I haven't posted my experiences this cycle I will fill you in.
I went Thursday afternoon for my first b/w and u/s for this IUI non-meds cycle. I was cd 9 and the RE found the following:
right ovary - 1 follicle 17 mm
left ovary - couldn't get a clear picture but thought there might be a follicle there too E2 was 795, LH was 6.9 and lining was 9mm.
Yesterday on cd 10 and I went in for b/w only. Nurse told me that if I surge what they do is call me in the afternoon so that I can have the IUI the next day. She said I am only cd 10 and I shouldn't worry about surging for another few days. Well she called not 7 hours later to tell me our IUI will be Saturday morning. Our sample had to be in for 7:30am and then the IUI would be at 9:30am.
So here we on Saturday and I am 2 hours post IUI. When the RE & nurse first entered the room I notice she was all excited. DH had 75 million perfect sperm for the IUI. They only expect 5 million so they were very happy. She walked around showing both of us the vial ... lol The IUI itself was not painful at all. I did get about 10 minutes of cramping from it but I spent that time on my back on the table in the RE's office. After 10 minutes we were allowed to go and now we wait for 14 days to see how things go.
Please pray for us we would love this to be our first and only IUI. I am going to go lie down for a nap as I am getting more cramping.
Courtney
