Well I have some news although at this point I am not sure if it is bad or good. I have been going to the Drs everyday since Sunday for blood work. We found out that I had 5 follicles on Sunday that ranged from 21mm
to 29 mm. One had bled into itself after the Dr thinks it was ovulated and was actually 5cm in diameter. It was starting to make me feel uncomfortable. Turns out my estradiol was 3700 (normal is 750 for cd12)& my Lh 6.5. Monday I went back and my
estradiol was 4500 (normal 900 for cd 13) & LH 4.5. Tuesday my estradiol was down to 3535 (normal is 1050 for cd 14). They did another ultrasound and found out I have Ovarian Hyper-stimulation Syndrome (OHSS). My left ovary was 10cm by 10 cm (size of a softball) on my right size and 4cm by 5cm on my left (size of an egg). Normal is the size of a prune. We have had to stop bd and ttc as it can cause complications. This occurs in 1 out of every 200 women who take fertility drugs. Normally it never occurs in people on 50mg of clomid but on injectables. Since this is so rare and there aren't any studies on this or the effects on fertility my Dr is going to use me as a test subject. He wants to follow me daily to see how my hormones and body adjust and whether I O or if everything just goes back to normal. This means I have to go to the REs everyday and take time off work. Good thing I have an understanding boss. Wednesday my estradiol was down again so the Dr figures that it should continue to drop and the ovaries should shrink. I am to wait for af to arrive and call him. Cd 3 of my next cycle I will go in and he will do another ultrasound to see if they have shrunk. If they have we will do a lap ... if not we wait.
Oh big news we booked our anniversary trip! We leave April 30 for Beaches Varadero in Cuba. They are having a sell off and it was only $1099 a person for a week all inclusive. This resort is owned by Sandals!!!!! I couldn't believe it when he told us. It has only been open for a year and half and they are at a low season then. Here is the website of the resort
