Courtney's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |

Hi all ... well, a lot has happened since my last post.
AF arrived on Sunday at 2 a.m. Woo woo! By noon I had called the RE's office and let them know that I was on day 1 of my cycle.
Monday morning at 8:25 a.m. the RE's office called to tell me they had scheduled my HSG for the next day.
So 6:45 this morning I pulled myself out of bed to get ready for the HSG. DH came with me and we arrived at the hospital at 8 a.m. Found our way to radiology and got registered. While waiting in radiology we noticed a lot of very stressed workers. Turns out some of the equipment was not working and a couple staff members had not shown up for work. A lady finally asked why I was there and gave me a gown and pants to change into. Then I was taken into one of the rooms. So I am up on the bed and they are trying to find my cervix. Needless to say they were using two hand-held normal flashlights (ones you can get at Canadian Tire). Their one light had exploded and the other short circuited. My RE had to take out the instruments and search before we started everything. Finally, within a minute after they figured things out, it was over. No pain at all -- only these two very weird cramps. Felt like my uterus inside just spazzed. It felt funny. I did take two Advil 45 minutes before the procedure that likely helped with the pain.
After the hospital we went to the MDS labs to have my CD 3 blood work done. Then off to the RE's office for the results and our options. We sat down with him and he told us that my HSG was normal ... clear tubes! Yahoo! Then he asked his secretary to get him DH's SA results from the lab. When he came back he told us that DH's sperm count was 280 million/mL and motility was 50 percent. So now that all of that is ruled out, I am going to start 50 mg of Clomid to increase ovulation and hopefully get us PG! The RE mentioned that if we are not PG in four months we will do an IUI and then if that doesn't work he will have to do a lab. He is still concerned that I might have endometriosis.
Well, thanks for listening. I know the last two posts have had a lot in them.
Courtney
