I wanted to start out by saying thanks for all the ladies who admitted to buying or shopping for baby/maternity stuff! In fact I bought a really cute peasant top fir American Eagle in XL that will fit when I am pg and huge! I need to alter a bit in the arm area but it was well worth the $6.95 I paid for it!
I am officially in my 2WW! It seems so surreal to me that I am finally taking the big step into expanding my family. Some days I am totally anxious and excited to test and see those two lines, and others I am suddenly overtaken by fear of seeing those two lines. I think the fear stems from my experiences of pg and motherhood. When you are having your first child things are so romantic about having a baby from the newborn stage to the "perfect" pg.
I know what sleep deprivation, poor latch, inconsolable screaming, diaper blowouts and massive temper tantrums make a Mom feel like. The craziest thing of all is the fact is I WANT to go through it all over again, because there is nothing like the soft sighs of a newborn, having my son touch my face and tell me "mommy I luv yooh." I hope and pray that each and every woman who desires to have a child will have the opportunity for I am so thankful that even at a young age I have been blessed to be Avery's Mom.
I am due to start my period on November 2nd, but I will start testing on Halloween.
I went to this huge dollar store outlet place in Nashville last week and I bought 10 pg tests for $10. I know they work because my friend used one and it was accurate. I am back to work, and feeling ready to leave there soon! My boss is in some serious denial, she keeps telling me we really aren't leaving since my DH will get deployed to Iraq and our orders will be pushed back. I am very doubtful of this, but I humor her anyway. There is a very real possibility but not from here.
I officially only have 25 actual work days left not counting weekends or holidays!!! We are already planning our route to CA from Nashville. Hubby really wants to see Graceland, so we will stop there first. I would really like to see it decorated for Christmas. By the way, I loved Graceland, even if you are not an Elvis fan the place is awesome! I had a lot of fun with my friend and we did a lot of relaxing and hanging out. I went and saw White Oleander by myself (which I love to do during the day). The movie was pretty good, Alison Lohmann who play Michelle Pfiffer's daughter did and excellent job. We also took Avery to see the veggie tales new movie and he loved it. As you can tell I love going to the movies and so does DH. It is kind of our hobby and we even have started Sunday night after Avery goes to bed as our dinner and a video or dvd night. I am also addicted to the Food Network, that is the only channel that I could actually watch all day.
My weight loss stalled while I was home, I got tired of counting points and ate whatever I wanted. I am happy to say I didn't gain any weight but didn't lose any either! I am now back on my points and I think I have lost about a half pound. I have less than 5lbs to go to get to my goal weight, and I might lose 2-3 more after that. My BMI is 22 and body fat is probably around 20%, I think I really want to tone up more than anything. The skin on my stomach is very stretched out and while I am happy I probably won't get anymore stretch marks, I can't seem to tone it up.
I went shopping and celebrated by buying my first pair of ultra lowrise bootcut jeans from Old Navy in.....a size 4!! I haven't worn a size 4 since 1998. For those of you who haven't ever seen a picture, I am 5'3" on a good day and very small boned, although I have never been rail thin I lean towards more of an athletic body, which fine with me! The more tone the better.
I sent a picture to precon and they still haven't posted it! I hope they do soon.
OK, time to go but thanks for reading and lots of +++vibes!
Take care, Corinn
