Corinn's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
September 2, 2002
Hello! I am glad August is over. It sure was one chaotic month for me. First off, one of the email lists I'm on split once again causing all sorts of hurt feelings and anger, luckily things have since worked out. My work place is really reaching rock bottom and I am getting tired of putting up with the same people who refuse to work but are quick to point out YOUR mistakes! UGH, it really drives me nuts!
Anyhow, DH and I have been at a distance point and I was really pushing him away during my stressful times. He being the wonderful hubby he is, has helped me to gain perspective with all of my turmoil by communication with eachother.
I am the type of friend who gives a darn and many of my "friends" here just don't care about me half as much as I care about them (at least this is how I feel). I am realizing that maybe I need to focus on what is really important(DH who is my real best friend and my son Avery) and start speaking my mind a little more often.
Poor hubby also had an accident last week where he tore the ligaments in his ankle, he is pretty laid up and can't drive. He goes back to the podiatrist tomorrow and hopefully he won't need any surgery..
We are so anxious to get out of here and settle down in Hawaii, and this really could throw a kink in our plans. I am however, grateful he is not more seriously hurt and that is what is really important.
My MIL was here for a whole week, and she was wonderful, both DH and I didn't want her to leave.
Avery is doing fine too, I am a bit hesitant to mention him too much in this diary, but I am so darned proud of him and he is a HUGE part of my life. So, I hope I don't offend anyone here when I do mention him. Right now we just went through a major Daycare switch and I was so worried that he wouldn't adjust well, but suprisingly he loves it there and I know that a center with more structure is the right place for us. Potty training is coming along great and in time he'll figure it out.
I am currently on CD 16 and just stopped bleeding! UGH, the switch from the IUD to the BCP's threw me off, so I am not quite sure when I will start AF next. After the next pack I am done with the BCP's and we will use condoms until the end of OCT, early NOV.
I am going to have surgery in OCT to correct my nose, it is a septo-rhino plasty. Basically a functional nose job. My nose is very badly off center and I have a terrible deviated septum(the bone in your nose) it causes me to have awful sinus problems. My ENT dr. offered me 3 different procedures and this is the most radical and sucessful of the 3. The recovery is pretty awful since they have to break my nose in 2 places and shave down the bump in the center, so I'll have huge black eyes and MAJOR swelling. The worst of it is in the first week after surgery. I will be taking 2 weeks off to recover and I have been working overtime to help compensate for the time I'll be missing. I should know the date of my surgery by the end of the week, and I am so excited to get this over with!
Well, if you are still reading thanks for listening to my long rant.
Take care, Corinn
