December 5, 2000
It always amazes me how quickly a week can pass. I have the feeling that I just wrote my last entry.
I’ve been keeping busy this past week. On Friday I had a job interview for a position that would be so much fun. I don’t know how well the interview went, to be honest. I am so bad at judging these things. While I was talking they just stared at me, no reaction. I kind of felt like they were expecting me to jump up on the table and start singing and dancing. The position would definitely be a step up the ladder though, and it is just what I imagined myself doing after my school/internship is over. The atmosphere in the company seemed more relaxed and more professional (I know this might sound like an oxymoron) than where I am now. Cross your fingers that this works out. I would start Feb. 1.
I’m on CD# 54 and no sign of AF. I didn’t O this cycle either. I was really hoping that my body would kind of get a jumpstart with this new medicine, but I guess if it is ever going to work, it will take a while. I went to my OB yesterday to get a new RX because I ran out and there was a nice note on the door that said he is on vacation until next week. So I zipped over to my regular house doctor and luckily she gave me a prescription. But I really wanted to talk to my OB about maybe taking the next course of action. I guess I’ll have to wait though (((sigh))).
This diet buddy system is really great. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to lose weight. I was able to put on my old jeans that I haven’t fit into since last summer. Granted, they were tight, but at least I got them on and was able to sit down in them. The last time I tried I couldn’t bet them all the way on and zipping them up was wwwaaayyy out of the question. I’m on my way to my goal! This is such a good feeling. I only have to get into the next size down and I’ll be a very happy woman.
I’ve almost finished my Christmas shopping. I only have to figure out what to give my FIL, Richard. I have no idea. He already has everything and anything -- what are you supposed to get for people like that?? Anyway, DH and I went to the town of Muenster at the yearly Christmas market. I bought a lot of things for my American family and friends and it was so nice to sit with Stefan and drink a hot mug of gluehwein. The little wooden huts are so cute and there are so many great things to buy. Another great Christmas market that I have to go to is in Aachen, near Belgium. I think we’ll have to go there next year though (my weekends until Christmas are already packed!).
I want to send congratulations once again to Amy W. for the +++ test. I’m so happy for you!! You really inspire me (and give me hope).
I hope everyone has a fabulous week,
Cindy
