Hi Everyone,
Well, you are not going to believe this but...
I'M PREGNANT!
Talk about a total fluke! We didn't even plan it! I guess DH does have "super sperm" after all. I'm still in total shock! Somebody pinch me! I've been floating on cloud nine all week. So far I feel pretty good. At first I thought I would be worrying everyday that I would M/C, but it’s really not that bad. (Although, every time I go to the bathroom I instinctively look for spotting).
As of today I am 4 weeks, 3 days pregnant. It was really strange how I found out, I just sort of had this feeling. On the day of our friends’ wedding, I started feeling this pulling sensation in my uterus. I had the same feeling with the first PG. On Mother's Day I told my mom and sister that I thought I was PG. I kept telling myself that there was no way... especially since I thought my cycles were screwed up...
Well, after I read TCOYF, I started thinking that there was MAYBE a possibility. Like I said in last week’s entry, I was planning on waiting until Saturday to test, but I was too impatient. So last Wednesday I took a test... to my surprise, I had the faintest positive mark. It was so faint that it faded away after two minutes. I called my doctor and ordered a blood test to confirm. Waiting until Thursday was the longest 24 hours of my life. Finally at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, the nurse confirmed I was PREGNANT! Good thing I found out before the weekend, because DH and I had planned on going water skiing at Lake Arrowhead!
I'm still not out of the woods yet. There is still a possibility that I could M/C. So every Wednesday I will have my hCG/Progesterone checked to make sure the numbers are going up. Last Wednesday my hCG was at 80 (30-120 is considered normal) and my progesterone was at normal levels.
My doctor wants to make sure this PG is "viable" (what a horrible term) before I go into his office to see him, so tomorrow's hCG count is a BIG DEAL! Per my calculations, I should be around 600. Please wish me luck!
I have asked to remain on Preconception.com until the PG is considered "viable," so I guess that means I should be here for two more entries. I do plan (hope) to move to Pregnancy Today sometime soon, and I hope all of you join me there! But until then, please keep your fingers crossed that my numbers go up!
Take Care,
Christy
P.S. I'm still planning on posting my before and after pictures soon!
