Christy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 4, 2000

Hi Everyone,
I hope everything is going well. It has been another wonderful week for me. I thought for sure I would be past my OV high, but it seems to have stuck around for a little longer than usual! I'm currently on CD22 and pleased to announce that my cycle "seems" to be back to normal. It sure took long enough!

It's been three months since the M/C. I try not to remind myself that I would be starting my 5th month of PG right now, but sometimes it just creeps up on me. I'm not as sad about it as I was before, just sort of ... well, I can't seem to find the right words to describe it! I'll have to think about it for a while.

Now, on to my favorite topic...my DIET. To date, I have lost 15 POUNDS! I'm as happy as a clam! Today they told me that I have really exceeded the standard average weight loss. They can't believe it! But losing weight so fast is not always that great.

I have hit a major PLATEAU. The past couple of days I have only lost ounces. The nurse explained to me that since my average weekly loss is 6 pounds, (which they say is too fast) my body is trying to play catch-up. She told me I could just wait it out (do you know how frustrating that is?) or I could do the plateau menu. Of course, I chose the latter. So for the next two days I will only be eating white fish, salads, eggs, spinach, grapefruit and three of their protein snacks (which are really good). So here I go....I'm off to break the PLATEAU.

Take care everyone!
Christy

P.S. I just wanted to say thank you to all the women who have been posting on my Talk-to-me board. I have really appreciated all of your support!
