Christy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 5, 2000

Hello Everyone!!

Thank you for taking interest in my diary, I look forward to spending the next couple of months with you! Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Christy and I am 30 years old. I work as a draftsperson for a Consulting Mechanical Engineering firm. I know it's not glamorous, but it gets the bills paid. I was married to my teenage sweetheart on May 16, 1998. It took us awhile to get to the alter because I thought we were too young to get married at 19 (that's when we met). We separated for awhile and met up again at 25. I will never let him get away again! My DH's name is Kevin and he is currently practicing to become a PGA golf professional. We live in So. California in a cute little two bedroom home which we remodeled from top to bottom. We have one Kitty named Meeko who thinks he's human. We lavish all our attention on him!

On our first anniversary we decided it was time to add to our little family. We had a bumpy first year; my DH lost his father to Cancer and we needed that time to mourn. But now we were ready!!! In Nov. of 1999 we found ourselves PG with our first child -- we were so happy we couldn't believe our luck! It only took us two tries!

I guess God had other plans for our baby. In my 7th week of PG my doctor could not find a heartbeat. My baby had stopped growing around week 5. I was devastated; my heart was broken in two. On 12/30/99 I lost my precious little baby! Miscarriage in really hard to understand unless you have gone through it yourself. I have learned through many chat sites that many women are going through the pain of such loss and the fear of TTC again. I guess you could say that is why I want so much to post my TTC diary. To let women out there know that it does get better and that there is hope!!!

Well, I better sign off for now. I don't want my first entry to be too long.

Take Care,
Christy :)
