Kim's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
June 30, 1999

I have been doing a lot of thinking about being pregnant and even checked out new pregnancy and childbirth books at Barnes & Noble. I am looking at catalogs for clothes that would work for being pregnant this fall and winter. I have gone online and done an ovulation predictor, although I really know my body well and know when I'm ovulating. I am trying to cut back on my caffeine and snack intake and concentrate on more fruits, veggies and protein sources. It feels strange to be this prepared to get pregnant.
John mentioned that I should call my OB's office for a prenatal vitamin prescription and tell them I am planning on getting pregnant in the next couple of months. I have to say, two days ago when I knew I was ovulating, both John and I were not all that concerned with contraception when the mood hit and we had a quicky (with withdrawal). Knowing that we are going to start next month just makes it seem too funny to stop it now. I am getting really excited to get going on our newest addition and am already thinking about names, boy vs. girl probability, morning sickness rememdies, talking to the kids (eventually) about it, where the baby will fit in our family, etc. I have so many things swimming around in my head and am thinking about this most of the time now. Only one more period!
Until next week,
Kim
