Kim's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 24, 1999

I thought I would elaborate a little on yesterday. I feel so much better about everything, even the poor fevered spermies. Jon went to the doctor today and was told he has gastro-enteritis. He is only allowed clear fluids for the next two to three days, but the fever is mostly gone and his energy is coming back. Now he is in the stir crazy part of being sick and in our little tiny one-room flat he is driving me a little bonkers, but that's okay. I have a huge pot of chicken soup on the stove for him, although he keeps threatening to eat the chicken when I am out tonight.

One of my friends from college called out of the blue on Friday and is coming up here to visit us tonight. Our house is a mess, but I think he can handle it. I am taking him into the college for dinner tonight. It is another one of the Monday night dinner/talks for the college tutors, which means I should really start working on my talk that I am giving in three weeks. My friend is staying until Wednesday, but hopefully Jon will be feeling better enough tomorrow to be able to go outside -- especially if the weather stays nice.

Tonight is the big night, though. I am taking my first clomid. My doctor wanted me to take it from cd2-5. I don't know what the theory is for the 3-7 or 5-9 or 2-5 thing. I figured I would try it his way and if it didn't work then I would really make him explain to me the reasoning behind all the different ways of taking clomid. For now though, I am just excited to be doing something. I really hope it works, and I'll keep everyone posted on the side effects, although I am hoping to avoid some of them by taking it at night. I am also going back on all my other stuff, the epo, and lecithin etc...

Good luck, everyone.
