It's snowing!!!
I can't believe it. We had a BBQ on Saturday and all last week I could wear shorts on our balcony, and today it is snowing hard. Amazing.
I don't have much to report today. I did finally manage to get myself registered on this UK list and it has already been helpful. I found out that there is no such thing as an RE here, and that the GYNs can be more or less helpful depending on who you see, but most importantly I got encouragement to be as pushy as I could be to get what I needed from the NHS. So I called the GYN clinic to see if I needed to be re-referred and how long the wait would be.
I do need to be referred again, but I will still be considered a review case and so should only wait a few weeks, rather than 10, for an appointment. I feel so much better now. I did some speedy calculations with a calendar and even if I get an appt in two weeks, and get provera and respond to it quickly and get clomid right away and respond to it, the first O would still be in June. So we talked about it briefly and if we get the clomid then we will just go for it.
It is really funny how things work out sometimes according to another plan, no matter how much you try to deviate from it. I mean our original plan was to start TTC in April, but we our prime time to concieve would be the summer and anytime after November, as you know, could be tricky. Now, if I start clomid right away and it works. I will get four tries in in the summer and then if we have to moe on to IUI with stronger drugs for two cycles, the last one would theoretically be in November. Weird how things can work out. We gave up on following "the plan" months ago and now we are falling back into it. Maybe there is some fate involved.
Or maybe it was all the extra time I budgeted and argued for knowing I would probably have troubles that has cushioned our timing, so it's all down to me being a good planner. :o) I can't quite believe that and it is more comforting to think there is a higher power who is working to get me pg, call it whatever you want. A friend of mine TTC'd for 10 months for #2, and had one m/c and had a hard time with it all, but ended up getting the due date she had wanted but didn't originally want to postpone TTC for. I keeping hoping that that is going to happen to me, too.
