Kelley's Diary Entries

Still no news about AF. I am only on day 28 and my cycles usually last about 30 days. I am really eager to know if we were successful this month, but I don't want to be disappointed either. Since I stopped taking the pill at the end of September my cycles have been 34 days, 32 days, and 30 days, so If the pattern continues, this one will be 28 days. But I am going to go by 30 days and test on day 31 if no AF by then. All I know is that we worked really hard on the days that I think were the right days and then some other days just in case my cycle was longer than last month. There is no way to tell which days are the right days because like I said, my periods haven't been consistent since I stopped taking the pill.

I have decided that next month (if I am not pregnant this month) I will start charting my temps. Almost four months without charting hasn't produced any positive results and I've decided that I would like to know for sure when I have ovulated. That way, I will know if we are doing "it" on the right days and I will be able to plan the next month more carefully. I was hoping to be able to do this without all this planning, but I think charting my temps will let me know exactly how many days are between the start of AF and ovulation, and between ovulation and the start of the next cycle. I hope I don't go crazy trying to figure this out. I have read TCOYF and hopefully I can get it right. I just have to remember to actually take my temp, which isn't exactly on my mind at 5:40 in the morning.

I am excited because a couple of days ago, one of my friends at work convinced her husband to let her have one of my kittens. Now I only have to find homes for four of them!!!

Good luck to everyone who is trying for a baby!!!
