13weeks 3days ~EDD~ 6-17-03

I really thought I'd be moved by now but, unfortunately that hasn't happened. Maybe it will happen before the new year. I am loosing all hope though! I really hope none of you mind me updating here.

*Doctor's appointment*

Last, Friday I had my 1st visit with my actual Dr. I was a bit nervous as my BP had been going up according to my machine at home. To my surprise my BP was 140/80 which they weren't concerned about. Dr. K. said they start worrying when it goes 160/90. We did bring my machine and all my #'s I recorded the weeks before. Before my exam Dr. K took my BP again and it was still 140/90 then we took it with my machine and it said 156/100!!! So, now were in the market for a new BP machine! We are going to see if we can take it somewhere to have it calibrated before we do invest in a new one though. My exam went well first, Dr. K. listened for the heartbeat and found it after a few seconds. It sure made things more real for us. (Steve and Seth came along to hear the heartbeat. Seth missed the whole thing though. He fell asleep and slept through the whole appointment)! I still can't believe I am pregnant and having another little miracle! Then on to the Pap which wasn't bad but, of course I spotted for a little bit after it. (Spotting after I have an internal is very common for me. So I didn't freak out or anything about it). Dr K. said all my labs looked good as well. I had to ask for a new script for prenatal vitamins as mine was running out. She decided to put me on some other ones then I was on. They are called Embrex 600 and they have a chewable calcium tablet with it. I had a bit of morning sickness this past week and finally figured out it was the new prenatal vitamins. I am still taking them and I am feeling better as time goes on. My next appointment is on Jan.3rd. I hope things will continue to go well. I am fearing any kind of bed rest. With Seth I was on bed rest for 12 weeks! I am trying to take it one day at a time and hoping for the best. So far so good!

*A few things I forgot in my last entry*

I forgot to mention I got my haircut! I have had long hair all my life and I have slowly been going a little shorter here and there with it. I guess I kind of felt it was some kind of security thing for me. Well on October 23rd I decided it was time to get a shorter style. So I got it cut just to above my shoulders and had some highlights put in. It feels so light and bouncy I just absolutely love it! Steve couldn't believe I really went as short as I did since I always talked about it but, never followed through. He liked it a lot too! It didn't seem to phase Seth at all he knew who I was when he first saw it. It did take a little time getting used to it every time I looked in the mirror I had to take a double take since it was so different then what it used to be!

~Roses for me~

I totally forgot all about this but, I wanted to put it in here. Way back in the beginning of October I had my first PG emotional episode. You see Steve works 10 hour days M-TH and has Fridays off. Well this particular Friday (I know it was the Friday before sweetest day but, not sure on the date itself). Steve and I had planned on taking Seth to Chuckie Cheeses and were going to have a family day together. Well my hopes for the day were crushed when the phone rang and Steve was asked to come into work as they were having a problem and needed him there to help. Steve jumped in the shower and my emotions took over I bawled like a baby! I was able to compose myself before he got out of the shower. I was hoping Steve wouldn't notice how sad I was but, I just couldn't control my emotions and started bawling on him before he left. Well, the day turned out okay as I called my good friend Dawn and spent the day visiting her. Well, when I came home Steve was home and had a dozen pink roses and a wonderful card for me! We did end up going to Chuckie Cheese the next Friday.

Next appointment: Jan. 3rd

Ultrasound scheduled for: Jan. 21st.

Thanks for any thoughts and prayers sent my way. I am sending you all TTC tons of dust hope it hits you all soon!

(((HUGS)))
