Kathy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 17, 2002

Okay first of all, I have to say sorry it's been some time since I have posted an entry. Life is so busy up here in Wisconsin this time of the year! It seems as if everyone's b-day (including mine which is tomorrow 9-18) or anniversary is at this time of the year! I can not believe I am going to be 31! It seems so old! I don't feel like it. Sometimes I think my parents got the year mixed up that I was really born in! LOL!!!

*AF decided to show up early again*

Okay to be honest - AF took me by a little surprise this month! She decided to show up on Tuesday September 10th and she happens to still be hanging around as of today! GO AWAY!!! I have to say I was a bit sad to see her too. I didn't know that I would have this feeling so soon. The thing is when we conceived Seth it only took two months and it happened. I am kind of taking AF's coming as a good sign though. If you have read my diary in the past you know I had a very complicated and scary pregnancy with Seth. Well anyway, the point I am trying to get to is that this time of TTC is already different from my first! So I hope I'm right and it's a good sign if anything! While AF is visiting me I get so tired and I don't feel like doing much of anything. Anyone else feel this way? I am still debating back and forth about calling my Doctor on this subject. I don't like that AF has been coming aprox.3 weeks apart. I feel kinda weird about it at the same time you see I do not have a GYN at this time. So I have to go through my regular internist. I really like her a lot and I guess the thing I am apprehensive about is calling in and having the receptionist ask why I am calling! It seems they always ask before they will put you through to the nurse or have the Doctor call you back. I know this sounds a bit silly since I am sharing this with the whole world and all on here! Okay, After getting that all out I think I will be calling her either tomorrow or more likely Thursday. I wonder what she'll say. One other thing that worries me (the worry wart in me coming out) is that my Mom had heavy periods and eventually she had to have a hysteractamy(SP?) because she had Fibroid tumors in her uterus. I sometimes wonder if this is why AF has been visiting me frequently. To tell you the truth just writing that scares me so, now I really am going to be calling my Doctor this week! I probably most likely don't have this but, it's just a thought that came across my mind at the moment.

*Onto better thoughts...*

My family celebrated my b-day with me at our home. We had a nice cook out and it was nice to see my sisters, nieces, nephews and of course my parents. Before I go any further I don't think I really ever told much about my family in here so here goes... I am the youngest out of three girls. My two older sisters are Gail who is seven years older and Laura who is six years older than me. Gail is married to my brother-in law Jim and they have two children Corrine(10) & Grant(8). I used to Nanny for them when they were little! My other sister who I am very close with is married to John and they have two children as well Brenna(6) & Kolton(3). We all get along for the most part it just happens that Laura and I are more alike. My parents are still married. They are going to be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this October the 13th! My sisters and I are going to have a party for them at Gails home. Back to my b-day. My family were so generous and gave so many nice gifts! I got some much needed gift certificates to Kohl's department store, a yummy pear candle and a beautiful wrought iron hearth-side candle holder that holds 5 pillar candles. I also got the 5 vanilla pillar candles for it. It's from a company called Partylight. I got a great gift from Steve and Seth a few weeks ago too. It's a remote entry/starter for our new van! It's going to be great in the winter time that's for sure! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family! Steve's Parents usually give me money so we'll see tomorrow! While I am on his family I guess I could tell you about them too. Steve has two older sisters Beth(Who I am older then) and her husband Nick who have one son Connor(2)! & Jenny who has a wonderful boyfriend Scott(but, man he needs to purpose to her soon)!!! They have two doggies Jasmine & Rocco! Steve's parents are still married also! For my actual b-day I am planning on going to a pumpkin/apple orchard with Seth and my friend Angie and her two children during the day. Then at night Steve and I are planning on going to a place called Corner House that's in Racine and they are famous for their Prime Rib! (We have lots of gift certificates we need to use)! Steve's Mom will be watching Seth for us.

Tonight I went out with my good friend Stephanie. She gave me a wonderful Bible to read for my b-day! I have always wanted a good Bible that was a bit easier to understand for me. This one is called Starting Point study Bible. We went out to eat at a place called Cracker Barrel which many of you may know as it's a chain. I had yummy Chicken and Dumplings! I ate way too much but, it was well worth it!

*Addicted to TLC*

I am addicted to The Learning Channel lately! I love all the shows that are on there! I have really been into Life in the E.R. and Maternity Ward. Steve keeps telling me I should have been a Doctor since I am so interested in these shows! I don't know why these shows interest me so much. I get really excited when Monday comes so I can see the new episodes. I have to say I give all the people in the Medical field a lot of credit! There is so much they do.

I also love Trading Spaces. It's weird to see new designers on the show though! I am not sure if I am going to like them or not yet. I am so happy the fall season is starting! I need some new episodes to watch!

Well, I guess that's about all I have for this entry.

Thanks for reading!
