Kathy's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
January 3, 2003
16weeks 3days EDD ~ June 17th, 2003 :o)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season. Ours was a wonderful one. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families to celebrate with. I also hope everyone has a happy and wonderful new year ahead!
I was really hoping to see my diary moved before the new year. I guess I can keep dreaming. I am starting to fear that our Little Sweet Pea will be here before we get moved! Hopefully it will happen soon. In the mean time I will keep updating here about my PG.
*Today's Dr. appointment*
My monthly appointment went very well. My blood pressure was 130/80. My urine test was fine. I heard the heartbeat again and Dr.K. said it sounded good and it was around the 140's. My heart just melts evertime I hear the heartbeat it's got to be one of the most amazing sounds I have ever heard! It also makes it feel more real. I seem to forget I am even PG half of the time with this one as I am so busy with Seth these days. I did have my blood drawn for the AFP test as well. I figure I minds well take the test even though it's optional. Then if anything does shows up we'll be better prepared to handle any situation knowing ahead of time before the baby is born. And to answer the question if something does turn up will I terminate the pregnancy the answer is no. I want this baby no matter what and I feel it's truely a blessing from God. I did have the test with Seth and it came back fine so, I am not worried about the results at all either. Thanks so much to anyone who has kept us in their thoughts and prayers so far. I do hope you'll continue to do so because I now it's working.
* My general PG itself so far*
I still can't believe I am PG with my second little miricle! Time seems to be flying this time around. I cannot believe I'll be at the half way mark in less then 4 weeks! So far I can say things have been good. I remember with Seth I wasn't feeling as good as I am now. Except for my new cold that started with a sore throat on New Years eve day. My poor nose hurts from blowing it so much.
A big milestone I have hit with this munkin is that I am starting to feel some movement. I don't remember Seth being as active as this baby is! You see with Seth I only felt him twice or three time during my whole PG with him! I had very low amniotic fluid due to my blood pressure being so high with him. Since it was my first PG I didn't know what I was suppose to feel either. I can say I just love feeling the flutters this time around it makes me stop and think WOW this is for real! As I am typeing this I can feel the Little sweet pea moving. :o)
My morning sickness has all disappeared too. It wasn't that bad when I had it and for the most part it didn't stick around for too long at any time. Just came and went but, not very frequently. The worst was when my Prenantal vitamins were switched. I do have to admit I threw up last week but, that had to do with a smell. I always had the same problem with Seth and it's a bit embarrassing and gross so this is a WARNING to anyone reading you may want to skip this little story. Here goes I can't believe I am even including this but, it did happen last week I went to the potty and not pee but, the other. Well I flushed the toliet and it got clogged. UGGH! Oh how ebarrassing to even admit that! But, I know I am not the only one out there that has had this has happened to. Before I go on I need to explain the smell of this bodily waste makes me gag during PG it did with Seth too. It's been very hard to change diapers these past couple of months as well. I have gagged on them but, I haven't actually thrown up from them. Well anyway my poor hubby Steve had to do the plunging because I was already gagging my little heart out. (Just writing this is making me gag! Why on earth do I have such a problem with this when PG? When I am not PG I am fine)! Before Steve started the smell was already gone but, I continued to gag and tried to high tail it down stairs trying my hardest to stop gagging. Unfortunantely, I heard the swishing of the plunger and as you already know even my greatest attempts to stop didn't work as I had to run to another bathroom and that's when I lost it! I have to say my Hubby's a saint for plunging the toity for me. I can't say I would have done it for any one ~ even him. I was fine after I tossed my cookies and was even able to eat my breakfast and I have had no other incidents with this and sure am hoping I won't. With Seth I remember it being a much bigger problem as I was constanly throwing up from this bodily smell. So if you have read this story sorry for the grossness of it but, &%#! happens to everyone!!! Just out of curiosity and if your brave enough to answer this ~ Has anyone else ever had a unfortunate and embarrassing thing like this happen to them during a PG?
*Christmas presents for our LSP (Little Sweet Pea)*
Yes, you read that right! My family and two of my friends actually gave gifts to me for my LSP on Christmas! I thought it was so thoughtful of them one of the friends gave me a really neat book wrtten by Dr. Suess It's called "Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go! It's a book to be read to a baby in Utero. In the preface it explains that there have been studys of baby's who have had this book read to them while they are in Utero there is increased movement and after the story is done the baby gradually settles down after the stories over. I think it's a pretty neat gift and I am going to try it and sees what happens when I am further along. Then my other friend gave me a $10 gift card to the picture people. My parents gave a cute yellow sleeper with little bugs all over it. My two sisters gave me very pink and girly outfits with gift reciepts! We do not know if it's a girl or boy and we probably won't be finding out either. Can you tell what my family is hoping for this time around? For me it really doesn't matter either way. Of course since I already have a boy a girl would be nice but, I'd be happy with either a boy or girl. Any one have any guesses on what I am having? I'd like to know what people think it would be fun to see who's right but, remember you'll have to wait till LSP arrival as we won't be finding out the gender. :o) We didn't know with Seth and I liked being suprised when they said "It's a Boy"! I did happen to have a girl dream the other night but, I do know that doesn't mean much. The dream was that I was at a friends house and she had a lady over doing ultrasounds for some odd reason. Well I couldn't resist and asked her to give me one to find out the gender. Well after she was done she had me go over to this weird thing that had pink and blue sheets of paper with baby booties on it. It thing that the papers were in was like a music box and she had me turn the handle a few time and out came a paper and it was the pink one. She said congrats it's a girl! Then I woke up! I do remember having dream with Seth that I was delivering him and having a very hard time with the doctors saying I needed a c-section. In my dream I told Steve he had to finish for me as I couldn't do it anymore. Well next thing that happend in my dream is that we had a boy and named him Cheston! Weird Weird Weird is all I can think about my dreams during PG. Little did I know how hard Seth's Pg and birth would go at that tome as well!
Well I guess that's about all I have for now. I do hope I will be moved in the very near future. Otherwise I will update here again.
Ultrasound ~ Jan. 21st

May all your hopes and dreams come true for you this year! I am sending tons of babydust to all those TTC. Belly Rubs to all those of you are PG. May this year be a very happy and healthy one for us all!
