Jen & Jake's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
November 23, 1999
Hi girls....
Well, I went to my doctor appointment, and if you have been on my board, you know this already.... I got a clean bill of health. No problems, everything normal (except for the really early spotting/staining). She went over all my charting for the last 8 months and said everything looks perfect -- temps, symptoms, OPK results -- regular cycle. My doctor then ordered an SA for Jake, which he did the following day. The results came back about an hour later. My doctor called saying he has a very low sperm count, saying that 60 to 150 million sperm is normal with 60 being the low end of normal. Jake got a count of 20. Which she says, isn't infertile, just the low, low end of fertile. His mobility is at 70 percent, which she says is good, so I'm not worried about that, yet.
She did suggest we go see a specialist, and so off we went to make an appointment with a urologist. We go on the 10th of December. I've heard lots of people have much lower counts, which consoles me, but doesn't make this any easier to swallow.... but at least now I can UNDERSTAND why we aren't pregnant yet. For some reason, I also thought I could still be pregnant this month, with the odd early brownish-spotting, I thought for sure implantation spotting, and the doctor even questioned it and ordered a serum blood test, but I told her it was too early and she agreed. But now, on day #26, I've been spotting since day #20 to 21. I have a feeling AF is right around the corner. My temps are still high, at 98.3 and have stayed there for the last 3 days with no drops yet, but my CP is low, and the sides of my walls are swollen and squishy, usually meaning that the ol' bat is on her way. This month definitely goes down as "weird" in my books. Not only did I spot a few days after my period ENDED, but I started spotting again, on day #21. I have NO idea when I ovulated cause I was mucusy for what seemed like two different stretches. I've had a few sharp cramps up my lower back that wrapped around my ribs, very strange weird pulling sensations down there and of course, every other made up symptom I could come up with.
So here it is, 2 to 3 days before I should expect AF. Knowing full-well she is on her way... I won't bother getting a test this month -- not unless my period never truly starts and all this spotting is just "old blood" getting its unwelcomed shove OUT. *Crossing fingers* SO by the time you all read this, it should be very clear. Keep an eye on the board for recent details.... I'm there daily.
Thanks girls, phewwwww!
I feel better.
~Jen
