Jen & Jake's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
September 9, 1999
Hey everyone....
This past 2 weeks has sped along pretty quickly -- the waiting game is going faster at least. Today is day 12 for me. This month, I started following some myth's and began taking Red Raspberry Leaves, baby aspirin and pre-natals. Everyone seems to think one or more of these work for some benefit during TTC.
Poor Jake, after a month of non-stop BDing, he's had nothing since before AF last month, I told him he had to stock up until I KNEW I was ovulating! Sooooo, I bought an OPK this month, I've used two of the five tests as of yesterday afternoon, with an almost positive result, the line is just barely lighter than the control window, so I will take another today and see what comes out. We will BD tonight, tomorrow and Saturday. Then, onto the waiting again. I also started temping this month in order to get a sense of what my body is doing, and its been consistently between 97.5 and 97.8 . I will look for a spike in the next few mornings. I feel like at least, I am getting to know my body better, and I am taking a little bit more control over what's going on. Although everyone continues to say, when you don't try, that's the month that it happens, I will say that this month I've taken charge on all mediums I can, regarding TRYING to get pregnant, but my thoughts really have been elsewhere, so I'm hoping my body recognizes the difference.
In the meantime, we finished painting our house, and it looks great -- new siding, new windows, new paint and trim, looks almost brand new!!! Now we move onto more remodeling inside -- from new hardwood floors, new heating system, remodeling the upstairs, and looking forward to getting to re-do the guest room into a nursery at some point this winter. We are planning a trip to Virginia to see Jake's sister in November, given that we get a good deal on airfare, so that is something we are looking forward to. So until next week ladies, keep your fingers crossed for everyone..... onto the 2 week torture!!!
Take care... (++++++++++++)
Jen
