Jen & Jake's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |

"Patience, patience, patience." Everyone says it so easily. UGGGGG!
Well, a little bit of news over here anyway. I have been battling a huge
head cold for the last week, and went to the doctor yesterday to get on
some antibiotics due to having to fly out of town tomorrow (nothing worse
than flying with sinus issues). My doctor asked how the pregnancy stuff
was going and I told her we ovulated last week and could possibly be
pregnant. She wanted to take a blood test to make sure she would be giving
me the right medication. I got a call last night and she told us it was
negative. I'm not sure how long it takes for Hcg to show up in blood, but
I'm still holding out for AF to NOT show. She said not to get too
disappointed about the test as it was so early (4 dpo). Anyone know
anything about Hcg levels?? So, needless to say, I was a bit bummed out.
Jake didn't seem to even flinch (typical male response). I was quiet most
of the evening, but still hopeful.
We are getting ready to leave tomorrow for Santa Cruz; we have some friends there getting married on Saturday. It will be nice to get away, if only for five days. It will be nice to have a break -- we own a business and it seems like more work to get ready to leave than we do while we are here. Thank goodness for employees! I will post again next week. I should expect AF around the 30th or 1st. So, I will let everyone know what comes of that! Have a nice weekend!
