Jen & Jake's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
February 9, 2000
Hi everyone....
There has been a little bit of controversy regarding my diary, and I thought I should at least speak up on my behalf. I missed a week of posting recently, when some people expected me to be around. During some personal trials and tribulations, I couldn't post.... and I wanted to apologize for anyone who felt they were neglected facts.... I simply had other things to tend to.
On the TTC home front... we are taking a few steps back. We cancelled all Jake's appointments with the specialist, quit temping, quit calendar staring, quit scheduling BDing... and just decided that there is a reason we aren't having a baby right now.
We have analyzed more than just the baby issue, we have totally restructured our lives in the last week for several personal reasons. Jake and I have decided to move. We are on a mission to SIMPLIFY. We decided to sell the business, sell our home, and relocate, somewhere preferably less confined, where we aren't as well known, where our lives aren't open to the public. We have spent the last few weeks, looking at great towns all over the place but then decided to reach out a little further; we are now considering all and any states in the USA, and have been more fond of New Hampshire at this point. I have booked airfare there in May as I will go out ahead of Jake to look for probable home prospects. He will then go out to interview at Fire Departments if , we indeed, like the area. We are also looking at other similar states. Our priorities?? Cute, not too small, not too big, not land locked, close to ocean, lakes, recreation... a place with all four seasons, good schools, and over all, a place where we can be confidant in raising children.
So the next few months are dedicated to searching for our new location. It's scary, exciting and everything in-between... but we both feel this will be a healthier lifestyle for us. We are leaving everything familiar to us: our friends, our family and everything we have ever known, to go to nothing..... it sounds blissful.
So, there it is in a nutshell. I will keep you updated as we go along. If anyone is from New Hampshire, I'd love to hear from you .....
Thanks
~Jen
