Wow… has it really been almost a month since I wrote my last entry??? I am ashamed to say it’s been so long since I used to be VERY good about getting an entry written every single week. I really can’t believe it’s been that long… it feels like maybe a week or two at the most. Mike and I have been SO busy there has been no time to stop and think.
Well, just as I correctly predicted in my last entry, AF has still not bothered to even send me a postcard, let alone knock on my door. I am currently on cycle day #59. I feel like MAYBE she might show up soon… I’ve felt a little bloated, my boobs are HORRIBLY sore today, and the acne has hit with a vengeance. And for any of you out there who may be thinking these are symptoms of PG… keep in mind that this is the girl who can’t find an egg to save her life.
For the first time since we started TTC in October, I don’t care. I really don’t. I don’t think about it anymore. I don’t daydream about it. I don’t temp. I just plain don’t care. If it doesn’t happen for another two years, I really won’t care… we have so many financial obligations that I would be scared to death if I found out I was pregnant right now. I really don’t know what we would do to pay the mortgage. Don’t get me wrong, if I wind up pregnant, it’ll be a wonderful blessing and I am SURE that God will provide a way for us to work things out. But until that time, I’ve quit obsessing over it. Heck, I don’t even think about it anymore. Maybe that is why I haven’t written an entry for so long… I used to count the days until my next entry was due… now I forget I even have to write one!
I am still really glad to be keeping this diary though. It is a wonderful place to put my thoughts. It is a wonderful outlet for me.
Well, my house is awesome… but it keeps me so busy. It seems that the work is never-ending. There is always another project to work on. It’s fun though and keeps us off the couch! My craft room is coming along nicely… I’ve just put shelving in it and can finally organize it. It’s the one room in the house that still has boxes because I’ve had nowhere to put anything!
We have been working on our yard a lot! We have a pond in the back yard and the water in it was really old. It was beginning to look like pea soup! YUCK! So, a friend came over and let us borrow a pump. We emptied the thing out and got rid of all the crud in it. Then my brother-in-law came over and pressure-washed it for us. We finally had it cleaned out and nice… and then it’s been pouring the past two days! We don’t have it filled yet and don’t have the electricity hooked up yet. We are putting it off until we have more money. Right now, finances are tight.
Mike is so wonderful… he bought me a Rotozip rebel saw! I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted one. I have been bugging and bugging him to get me one and he did. There are so many projects that I want to make and work on. It will come in very handy when we decide to refinish the kitchen cabinets.
I have become quite the baseball fan in the past month or so. I went to a Seattle Mariners game a couple of weeks ago and it was so much fun. The M’s are doing VERY well thus far (okay, so they lost to the White Sox in the 14th inning yesterday). Anyway, it’s my new favorite pastime.
My dog is still just so wonderful (I say that as though she will someday NOT be so wonderful! Silly me.) She is just the greatest dog in the world… She is curled up next to me on the floor even as I am typing this entry. She has really added so much to our family.
I still do NOT have a contract from my nursing agency. I am not real thrilled about it either. I need the money really bad. So, I am working extra shifts. They pay very well. There is just so much to be done at home… I don’t want to be at work all the time!
Oh yeah, my friend Michelle came over the other night and brought her ultrasound video for me to see. Oh my gosh… what a little miracle!!! It was fun watching the live video… I could see everything so clearly. At one point, she opened her mouth, stuck out her tongue and inserted her hand in her mouth. You could really see it so clearly. I was in awe the entire time. Her spine was so clear. You could see her tummy, her arm and leg bones, her little girl parts, her bottom, EVERYTHING. Technology is amazing. She was 19weeks when she had that ultrasound and now she in her 25th week. I feel like she just found out she was PG… wow, the time sure flies.
Well… gotta run. Mike is waiting for me to come and pick him up from work. We are going to Seattle to pick my agency pay check (boy do we need that cash). I am sure that I will be late. Oops. Take care all and lots of baby dust to everyone!!!
Congratulations to Jackie, Wendy, and Tricia (for her successful little angel embryos!!)
Baby dust…
Christina
