Hello everyone!
Well, the last two weeks have definitely been a roller
coaster ride of events. First we had some friends
staying with us a little more than a week ago. They
came for homecoming and some of the alumni activities
the college has. It was nice to have company, and I
hadn't seen one of them in about two years so it was
nice to see her again. Pretty uneventful weekend, but
it was fun.
AF showed up on Saturday afternoon, so I'm onto another cycle for sure. Which means that our conception plans are definitely postponed until February.
The next week I started off by teaching my first lesson. I'm student teaching this semester. It was very nerve wracking but I made it through. On Wednesday I had a group meeting with the professor that will be leading the class to South America. It was exciting, and we were told all the amazing things in store for us. Then on Friday when I picked the girls up from daycare they told me that Lauren had fallen when she was trying to pull up and hit her head. She had a small bruise on her forehead, but otherwise seemed fine. Then on Saturday morning she woke up crying and didn't want to eat. She then threw up about five times in two hours. We took her to the doctor and he said she had an ear infection, but he sent us to the hospital to get a CT scan just to be sure nothing else was wrong with her head. So we spent all of Saturday morning in the doctor's office and hospital. The scan was normal and so we all went home and took a long nap! Now it is Monday and I'm ready for the weekend already!
A while back I was talking to a friend about pregnancy, parenthood, and kids and I basically told her that all you can do is grab on and hold tight. It is definitely a roller coaster full of ups and downs, screams, laughter, excitement, and fear. The best thing about it is that I know I'm ready to do it all over again.
On the TTC front, we are definitely going to be waiting until February. My yearly exam with my doctor was accidentally canceled and so she won't be able to see me until the beginning of December. I really wanted to see her just to ask questions and possibly get started on prenatal vitamins. I can see the nurse practitioner in November, but I may wait just so I can talk to my doctor. We'll see.
Take care,
Christina
