Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a good week. Congratulations to Marianne and Megan! I wish you both a happy and healthy nine months!
Well, I was going to post the picture of one of my cats this week, but the scanner is down. It figures. They will probably get it fixed right after I leave! We have finally introduced Hobbs to the other two cats. It was touch and go for a few days (as it usually is!), but at least Cleo has come around. I think she tries to mother him and all he wants to do is PLAY! He is into serious fun! He doesn't care at whose expense either! He was sent to me for a reason, I'm sure. He has given me many other things to think about for the past month or so!
I think I may be entering the 2WW. I did get two positive OPKs on CDs 15 and 16! I wasn't really sure that they would work (always the skeptic), but on CD16 it was POSITIVE! I have never been so sure of any test in my life!
My HPT in May was not this dark! Pretty cool what we can do these days. I had lots of EWCM this month. Almost all week last week. That is nothing short of a miracle! I don't know if we BD'd enough since our schedules were so different last week, but if it is supposed to happen, it will. I am going to try not to get my hopes up that much, but I usually fail when I say that. This will be a long two weeks if I did O.
Reading Dawn's entry last week made me think -- about my life and my DH. How lucky we were to find each other so young. We actually met in '94-'95. A friend at school told my best friend and I that we needed to come to police cadets with her sometime. I know it sounds funny and if you knew me you would never believe that I joined , but it was fun. I met so many different people that I never would have been exposed to if not for going. My husband for one! We actually dated for about a month or two and then he broke up with me :-(! Over the next couple of years I still had contact with him. Very limited contact, mind you, but it was enough to keep my interest piqued.
Then in February 1997 one of my good friends encouraged me to call him. I don't know where I got the guts, but I called and he called me back. I didn't know what to say to him because I did not figure that he would actually call back! We went out a few times and that led to a few more times and before we knew it we were in love. He proposed in October 1997 and we got married in March 1998. All very fast, but it has been two years and eight months and we are still going strong. We fight like every normal couple and we have our differences but that is what makes it a marriage. We have been so blessed. I thank God every day that we found each other.
Years later I still know some of those people I met in cadets. A couple of them are on the fire department with Tony. That whole experience changed my life. I still think to this day, what if I hadn't gone? What if I had stayed in my shell, too shy to go and make some new friends? I can tell you one thing: I wouldn't be here right now writing this to you.
You never know where life will lead you. Good luck and ********************** baby dust to everyone!
