TTC#1 C#5 CD#11

Hello ladies! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Mine didn't quite start off like we had planned!! Tuesday night I had to work until 9. By the time I got home I was running a fever of 100. I felt awful! I really wanted to leave in the morning, but I knew that I couldn't in my condition. I went ahead and got ready to go to bed after crying for about half an hour (yes, I indulged myself even though I knew it wouldn't help). Even though I wasn't going to temp in the morning at all, I went to shake my thermometer down. My hand cramped and I threw the nice, glass thermometer against the wall. It hit really low and broke close to the floor. I cleaned up what I could but the mercury was between the trim and the carpet edge. So I swept it up, closed the door so the cats couldn't get into the room and called my husband. When I told him I swept it up he tells me that you aren't supposed to do that because it vaporizes! Needless to say he left work early to come home and tend to my mess.

When he got home, he called the chief on his fire department to find out what to do. I had to dispose of the clothes I had on and then go take three showers (what fun!). While I was in the shower his best friend showed up to help and eventually the fire chief came over as well. (I was just glad the whole department didn't show up). He had his best friend go to the fire station to get biohazard bags because we had to get rid of our sweeper and the carpet. Of course, they are teasing me, saying how if I wanted to get new carpet all I had to do was say something. The funny thing is, I didn't really want new carpet in the bedroom! I had to go to the doctor the next day to get checked out and let them know I had been exposed to mercury. The one thing I have to say is thank God I was not pregnant! What a mess!

It turns out that the insurance will pay for the carpet but not for the vacuum cleaner. At least it pays for something! A funny thing is everyone I tell acts like I like it shouldn't have been a big deal. It is a big deal. Those thermometers don't have much mercury in them and they really won't harm you unless you actually ingest some of it but it is still a big deal. No one thinks anything of it, but Jay (the fire chief) called the EPA and they said that they would have done everything that we did. Anyway, I did learn my lesson! No more glass thermometers for me! Does anyone know where I can get a BBT that is digital? I would really appreciate it!!

That is how my mini-vacation started! We did go camping. We left Friday morning and came back Saturday evening so we didn't get to stay as long as we wanted. I had a lot of fun! Shopping, shopping, shopping!!! It was just beautiful down there! Fall is a wonderful time to go to southern Indiana.

On to TTC. Today is CD11 and my doctor appointment is tomorrow. That should be interesting! And today I had EWCM, which is really unusual since it is so early in my cycle. Of course I took advantage of it and BD we did! He usually has no idea it is that time because I just seduce him! Then he doesn't feel any pressure to perform! It is a good thing he doesn't read this or I would be in trouble for not telling him! Who knows what this cycle will hold for us! Hopefully this will be our cycle.

Good luck to everyone out there! Have fun with it!
