December 21, 1999
Hi everyone
I'm just waiting again at this point in the TTC game. My temp has stayed up this month, instead of going back and forth like last month. I ordered some Aimsticks on the Web, and I'm going to test as soon as I get them, if my temp stays up. You can test at 10dpo with them, I've heard. I'll be 10dpo on Thursday. I'll let you know as soon as I know. I might wait until Christmas or Christmas Eve though -- give our families a nice gift, or have a horrible day myself, depending on the results!
Kris and I are soooo bad! We couldn't wait on opening Christmas gifts. He wanted to open them as soon as he was done shopping for mine -- I wasn't even done yet! So we decided one gift a day until Christmas. That lasted all of 2 days! My niece was spending the night on the second night, so we gave her the choice -- she could either open the rest of her gifts from us and not have anything to open from us next Sunday with the whole family, or watch us open ours. Of course, she decided to open the rest of hers. And after she went to bed, we even opened our stocking stuffers. We didn't do those with her since Santa brings them normally = ). But here it is, December 21, and I feel like Christmas is already over. We didn't open lil Kris' gifts to us yet, so we'll open those with his gifts from Santa on Saturday.
Oh, and lil Kris did end up in the hospital. We admitted him on Monday night, and he got to come home on Thursday. I can't say I was too happy with his mom, or the hospital. The hospital was 2 hours late on all his breathing treatments, wouldn't follow the doctor's orders until 12 hours after the fact, forgot completely all day to feed him one day (luckily we had some jars of baby food from home) and the list goes on. Kris ended up taking the week off without pay, because the baby's mom couldn't be bothered visiting him at all.
She said to just call her if something serious happened because she had work and her Christmas parties to go to. ARRRGGGHHH! He's just now 15 months old yesterday, in the hospital with bruises from IVs etc. (poor little guy had two veins in his arms and two in his hands blown trying to get IVs in, and kept pulling them out every day!), and his mom didn't want to stay with him. I was there more than she was. Women like that make me wonder why the heck they get PG at the drop of a hat, while those of us that would care about our children struggle so hard to get PG!!!!
Well, I hope everyone had a good holiday. We're still trying to think of New Year's plans. Of course, whether or not I'm PG will play a big part in making those plans. = )
