Well, I ovulated yesterday. Kris and I both feel really positive about this month. I got two boxes of ovulation predictor kits for 2 months in a row -- I never got a + sign. It kept looking like it might be dark enough the next day, but of course I was out of sticks and didn't know. Soo, I started them early and used them late, and tried a new brand. I kept not getting any line at all -- not even a reference line. I finally decided to test in a cup. First I re-read the directions, though. Did you know that if you pee more than 5 seconds on the stick it's inaccurate, but you hold it in the cup for 20 seconds???? That doesn't make sense to me, but at least it was finally +++.
That wasn't the only thing we did different, though. I started charting this cycle. The temps are pretty easy, but the cervical position I have problems with. And, I never really have ewcm -- just a really wet feeling that always makes me think AF is coming early. When I was having that feeling I talked Kris into checking my cp, and it felt SHOW (soft, high, open and wet) to him, so we bd'd away. We did this for 3 days before I got the + opk. Each time I pictured the little spermies swimming up there so easily and meeting the egg, and propped up afterwards. Then Sunday a.m. we DTD just for the fun of it, and I stayed in bed for an hour -- 30 mins propped, 30 mins just laying there. By then I really had to potty, and decided to do the opk. When I did I noticed a lot of ewcm in the cup and got the ++.
My doctor told us to bd the night of and the night after the LH surge, but we were both really tired last night. Neither of us were feeling too romantic. I told Kris we had to bd though so we could get more little spermies up there, and he expanded on it. He started saying that we needed to so that the sperm could swim up my nice open cervix, and all of them would try to get into the egg, but only one little girl sperm would make it. Then I'd have our beautiful baby growing inside my tummy. It was sooo sweet. So we bd'd again, and I repeated Sunday's procedure. Then this morning I woke up two and a half hours early 'cuz I was excited about taking my temp. At 5:30, it was my usual 8:00 temp, 97.7! And with the adjustment for the time....Woohoo! All that is why we are so positive -- we did everything right. Ohh, and I'm taking B6 for good measure since we don't know how long my luteal phase is.
Diffy had said something on my board I thought I might mention as well. I've been told that because of my absences due to endo and frequent bathroom breaks I'm not getting promoted. At least, that was the only thing that was mentioned when I asked about it. If they're not happy about it now, they're really going to hate me when I'm pregnant. That's really upsetting to me. I was told that even if I have a doctor's note explaining my illness, I can't have any unplanned absences for 6 months before my name will my given to my supervisor's supervisor. I'm hoping I misunderstood my supervisor. Just in case, I am getting a note from my doctor and am going to my supervisor's supervisor. Like I chose to be diagnosed with endo and have to miss work-AARRGGHH!!! And to think, just last week I was singing their praises.
Well that's it for now. I'm quite talkative I see = )
