Jamie's Diary Entries

Hi all!

Well, October wasn't the month. I'm now in my 7th month off TTC, unfortunately! I'll tell you guys a little more about us -- just what you wanted right?

We live in Oklahoma, and we work for an Internet service provider. At a year, this is about the longest I've stayed at a job! They treat us very well there, and the insurance is excellent. Throughout pregnancy, I'll only have to pay one $10 co-pay, and childbirth is covered 100 percent, or close to it. Woohoo!! The only bad thing is we just found out we're working on Thanksgiving -- 10 hour shifts. I guess we'll be eating our Thanksgiving dinner at Grandy's during our lunch hour, or wherever we can find that's actually open!

I have two sisters, both older than me and married for several years. My oldest sister we call Fertile Myrtle because she has four kids, three of which I know were accidents! The girls are 9 years old and 3 weeks old, the boys 5 and 4 years old. My middle sister, unfortunately, has been unsuccessful after several years of TTC. DH, Kris, has one older brother who is homosexual and in a long term relationship. It looks like on Kris' side we're responsible for all the grandchildren -- no pressure there of course! Both of our fathers are deceased, and our moms have since remarried.

Our full-time "children" currently are two Pomeranians, Sierra and Solomon, and a rabbit, Shelby. Sierra and Shelby were both names I wanted to name a baby girl that Kris didn't like, so instead I have two furry little girls with names I like.

Well that's pretty much it about us. On the TTC front, I'm waiting for the big 'O', due any day now. If I don't get pg this month, in December we do a post-coital test. I've decided I want December to be the month, because a) I'll be able to find out I'm pregnant on Christmas if my cycle stays the same, and b) the baby would be due September 2 to 4, 2000, and my birthday is September 1. Talk about a great Christmas and Birthday gift! Gosh, I just thought about how picky I'm being -- not only do I want a girl, I'm planning when she should be conceived and born.

In other news, we got a lot of Christmas shopping done this weekend. As soon as we draw a couple's name for my family, we'll just have to shop for that gift, each other and 'lil Kris. Unfortunately, 'lil Kris just got spoiled rotten on his first birthday, at the end of September, and we can't think of a darn thing he needs now! Somehow I think we and Grandma will think of all kinds of things shortly, though.

Sorry this is so long. By the way, the picture is one of our wedding pictures! We decided to skip the scheduled wedding in Vegas and got married at the courthouse, with just one friend there. That's why we're planning on the renewal and honeymoon in February. Although with all the plane crashes lately, it might be a honeymoon within driving distance!

Bye for now,

Jamie
