Jamie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 31, 2000

Well ladies, I think this will be goodbye. Although I know you are happy for me, I feel bad writing about my PG for all those that are still TTC. Believe me, I know how hard it is to try to be happy for someone when you really just want to cry because it's not you!

I guess I never really told you guys what we did differently, did I? Well for one thing, as gross as it sounds, either the month I got pregnant or the month before, I can't remember which, I had Kris masturbate and then use a syringe to put it inside me while I propped up on pillows. I was afraid he had a low sperm count, and I wanted to maximize our chances. LOL. But if it was the month I got PG, I'm not going to knock it, because it worked! We also RELAXED. I know it's a stereotype, but in our case it really did work. I knew about when I should ovulate, but I wasn't doing OPKs, or temping or anything. I think for the past few months we'd only been BD'ing once or twice a week, even the week O was coming.

Other than that, my first appointment is June 12. I'm excited, but also sad because Kris can't be there with me. I'll probably go by myself because my mom doesn't think she can get off work, my best friend has to work, and my sister has too many kids to drag along. LOL.

Also exciting news is my first anniversary is June 7! Woohoo. Too be honest there were times I really didn't think we'd make it. Marriage turned out to be harder than I expected, but I do love Kris very much, and I know we're going to last. Especially since we're going to be far away from one of the main causes of our fights. That'll just leave money and housecleaning, and we should be fine = ).

Well, goodbye, and I hope you join me on Pregnancy Today. I've enjoyed getting to know some of you guys.

Jamie
