We finally did it!!!!!!! I guess my return to the Preconception.com diaries is going to be rather short. I was fully prepared to see AF until Kris gets done with his basic training. Instead, a week after he leaves I find out I'm pregnant!!!!!

I'm due either January 4 or 5, 2001. My mom is a nurse, and when she did the little wheel two times, it said 1-5. The nurse at my OB/GYN’s said 1-4. So either way, early January. The bad thing is I have no insurance card to use, or a military ID yet to get on base. So I can't even go to the doctor yet!

Here's what happened, though. Thursday my mom brought me two pregnancy tests from her work on her lunch break. I came home on my lunch and took one. Positive. I couldn't believe it, so as soon as I got home from work I took the other test. Still positive. Then my mom wanted me to take a blood test at her work Friday morning. Within a minute, with me, my mom, the lab tech, and another nurse looking on, it came up positive!!!!!

I still didn't even have Kris' address to reach him at boot camp, so I was calling his recruiter and they said they couldn't give it to me either. Luckily when I came home for lunch (which I've been doing every day since he left to check the mail!), there was a form letter giving me the address and explaining other things.

Looks like Kris won't even be coming home between boot camp and Connecticut! Anyway, I sent him off all the letters I had written. Hopefully he'll know Monday or Tuesday that we're having our baby finally! I feel bad he's going to be the last to know, but I just couldn't hold it in until I could get his address.

Well unfortunately I have to work this morning, so I better get ready. Bye for now!

p.s. I have two2 cousins that are my age. The girl is due in October, and the guy's wife is due 1-3-01. It's another busy year in my family!!!
