Only 2 more weeks until Thanksgiving! Can you believe it? Jeff and I are spending our holidays alone this year, and I'm looking forward to that. I plan on making a small turkey dinner for the two of us, and using all the nice dishes and everything. I've already got the turkey breast (we couldn't eat a whole turkey ourselves!) and the rolls since we can freeze both of those things. I'm also planning on having some sort of vegetable and mashed potatoes and gravy. (Jeff's favorite part.) Anyone have any ideas for a nice vegetable dish?
I'm hoping for a happy Thanksgiving with a bfp sometime around there. But I'm going to try and not stress over it. I will probably go to the RE in January and I know that's coming up. I feel really relaxed about this cycle and I'm not worried if I don't get pg this month. I'm enjoying this relaxation!
So far I'm 3dpo, which is great if it stays like this. I'm amazed that I even ovulated this month with the 10 days of bleeding for AF. Hopefully my temps will stay up and this ovulation day won't change. I use Fertility Friend to calculate my cover line and ovulation day because I'm terrible with that stuff. It's especially helpful because my cycles can be wacky and they take a lot of the guesswork out of it.
Does it seem that there are pregnant people EVERYWHERE? Or am I just being sensitive? On the magazine rack waiting in line at the grocery store and it seems like all the stars are pg, and there are so many magazines about being pg. Maybe it was just the line I was in but I was looking around (in an attempt to avoid looking at the pg magazines) and I saw about 5 pg women walk past! Anyone else have this problem?
Work has been going well and Jeff starts his job on Monday! Yay! He's excited to get out of the house and start working. He's got a 4 hour commute every day, which really stinks for him but it gives him time to do homework. Our apartment complex has a free shuttle to the metro station so we can survive on one car still. Which is a good thing for us right now! We're looking into buying a new car soon but we have to wait till we have the money for it.
We have talked about moving out to the area where he works but I think that would only happen if he got sick of the 4 hours in the train or if I got pg. I don't plan on working after I have the baby and that would be time that I want him home with me, not on the train! We're going to stay in this apartment at least until August next year. Hopefully I'll get pg sooner than later!
We're having the missionaries from our church over for dinner tomorrow. We're also having a friend from the ward over at the same time. It should be really fun! I love having people over. I'm making fettuccine with peas and ham, which is one of my favorite dishes.
Not much else going on this week. I think I have a cold but it's not too bad. At least I'm not too stuffy yet!
~Always, Cat
