Catherine's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 5, 2003

Hello iparenting land. Another week has gone by and a big congrats to all the pg ladies on our diaries!!

Things have been going okay for me. The slow bleeding finally stopped after 10 days, which is a fourth of what it was before. I was so happy just to have it stop! But ever since then, I have felt so sick to my stomach all the time. I can still function and it's the worst when I get up in the morning but ugh...I would be happy staying in bed for a few days. Needless to say, I have not felt like doing anything in the bd department but it's still fairly early in my cycle. I'm just happy to be done bleeding!!

It has been so hot here! I talk to my family in Utah and it's been snowing for about a week, and here we are enjoying 80-degree weather! It's so beautiful but I'm really missing the snow. The leaves just exploded color this past week and I love to see all the different shades of bright yellows and reds. We have been tracking leaves into our apartment, though but at least it makes me vacuum more often!

We're still waiting on Jeff's job to get him through the hiring process. He's feeling a little stir crazy because I think he's tired of being home all the time. I think it's funny that he's now asking to get out of the house more often. :) But he's been great and does the laundry, cleans and does the dishes all the time. It's really nice to come home to a clean house every day. Jeff says he feels like Mr. Mom! :) But he really does a great job and I'm so grateful for his help.

This weekend we went to the JC Penny sale and got Jeff some nice dress shirts to work in. He laughs at this because mostly engineers wear grubby clothes so that they don't ruin anything but I think he needed a something a little dressier. Makes me feel better anyway. We bought 2 shirts for 30 bucks, which is great!! I also got myself a new pair of jeans.

We also went to see Brother Bear, the new Disney movie. I really enjoyed it. But I'm a sucker for kids’ movies. Comparing this movie to other Disney movies, I'd put it up there on my #2 pedestal, with Mulan and Tarzan. #1 has movies like Lion King and Beauty and the Beast on it. :) So if you get a chance, Brother Bear is worth watching.

I have a job in my church now. We call them "callings." I'm in charge of the music for the Young Women and the music in the Primary (that's for the little kids, 11 to 4). I'm excited about it since they both should be great ways to help my ward. Jeff got a calling to be in the Young Men (working with the 12 and 13 year olds or the Deacons as we call them) and he's pretty happy about that too. So we're going to be busy on Sundays!

Well, I can't think of anything else to talk about so I guess that means I need to go. :) I'd love it if you stopped by my ttm board just to say hi...I wonder if people read this. :)
