Still no AF for me, and still no bfp either. It's looking suspiciously like a cycle I had in the summer, very long and nothing happened. With that cycle and going by what Fertility Friend said as my O date, I had a 28 day lutael phase. I don't think that was right at all, but both the last chart and this one suggest ovulation. Anyone have any suggestions what might be wrong? I'm still waiting on my insurance to come through (December 1st) to go to an RE. So all of those who have been to an RE before, would you suggest going straight to an RE or would you go to your OB/GYN for blood tests or whatever before? Also, for all those living in the DC area, tell me about your RE. I'm not going to limit us to the doctors at my work. So good and bad things about your RE would be greatly appreciated! :) I look forward to going to the doctor to get some things moving with this. I think I've been fairly patient with it and I can't wait to be moving forward.

Great news! Jeff got a job!! It's in Maryland so he's going to have a commute ahead of him but luckily he can read in a moving vehicle so he'll have time in the morning to do his homework. Luckily this job is near the metro so he can just take that. Our apartment has a free shuttle to the metro station (don't I wish I worked near a metro station!) and then ride up from there. It's still a little amazing to me that we've survived us both working, school and errands with one car. Anyway, he's so excited about this job and hopefully they will finish the hiring process before next year. Yes, it takes that long. And he'll have to wait 6 months to a year for his security clearance as well. At least they pay him during this time and he still goes to work to attend seminars and learn the ins and outs of his job. He just can't be trusted with any info yet. I am so excited he got this job because hopefully he'll be able to stay with this company for a very long time. They are all over the world so if he wanted to transfer after school, which would probably be do-able. We will not be moving right now because frankly, I don't want to deal with the DMV again. Can you blame me?

On Saturday we went to the Shenandoah Mountains to see the leaves. It was pretty but next year we're waiting until the surrounding area's leaves change so that when you drive up through the mountains, you can see the valleys in color. We did have a good time this weekend though! I really missed the mountains and as we got closer, I felt more at home. The mountains here are long, low and rounded ribbons of raised earth. Not like the jaggedness of the Rocky Mountains, which are abrupt sharp edges. We drove along Skyline Dr. for a while, and stopped to hike down a trail to some waterfalls. I think we went down the Land's End trail if I remember correctly. Anyway, we got to the waterfall and Jeff decided he wanted a picture from down a little bit farther. So he hiked down and took a picture of the waterfall and me. As he was hiking back up, he looked down to see what was at the bottom. He had his favorite sunglasses on the top of his head and as he looked down, he saw them fall into the pool at the bottom! He loves these glasses because they fit over his regular glasses and don't pinch his nose. So he hikes down to the pool (which thankfully wasn't too big or deep) to get these glasses back. I can't see him anymore so I'm still at the top enjoying the quietness of the woods. There was a branch spanning the edge of the pool, close enough to Jeff's glasses that he wouldn't have to go wading to get them back. So he climbs out on the branch and reaches out to get his glasses when the branch breaks. Luckily he's fairly agile so he landed on his feet in the water but thoroughly soaked everything from about mid calf down. So he just reached in the water and got his glasses back and waded out. Poor Jeff was wet so we just went home. We did stop by the local store and bought some postcards, peanuts (for his dad for Christmas, he loves them), and a Virginia is for Lovers magnet. :) It was a really nice day, weather wise and activity wise. I really enjoy all the trees that we have out here. It's very lush.

Work is going okay. I've hit that point where my mistakes are starting to show up. I'm a little discouraged but I know that I'll keep learning more and understanding a lot more. Besides, everyone makes mistakes. It's a good job but honestly, Jeff's job is so good I keep toying with the idea to stay home and not work. But then I think that Jeff is doing so much, working full time and going to school full time and I'll I would be doing is sitting at home. Granted my house would probably be very clean and I wouldn't run out of clean underwear every week or so, but I feel guilty just doing that. Besides, it would be nice to be able to save my entire paycheck for either baby stuff or my infertility costs. Or even just savings. So I will probably stay but I had to write it out and it came out now. Sorry. :)

I know I talk a lot about the traffic here but frankly, I spend SO much time in it I think about it a lot. I'm sure you know how boring it is to sit on the highway not going anywhere. This morning, there was an accident on the HOV lanes. Terrible, I know. But it was so gratifying to zoom past everyone stuck in the HOV lanes.

I am so excited for this weekend because since I've finally gotten paid, I get to go buy new clothes! :) I can't wait!

Since this has taken me all day to write this I should go. Congrats to all the new pregnancies! That's wonderful! And congrats to my friend Amy who just had her baby girl!
