I am SOOO tired. It's not even funny. I'm trying hard not to complain (really, I am thrilled to be pg!) but, I can hardly hold my eyes open. Someone needs to send me those little clothes pins to hold open my eyes! But other than this overwhelming tiredness, I have very little symptoms. My bbs are sore, but not terribly sore. They are bigger than normal, and darker too. And I've been feeling like AF has been trying to make an appearance. There's a lot of light cramping and stretching going on down there. So for all you ladies out there looking for early symptoms, you can add mine to the list. And baby dust to you all! :)
My nephew is doing fine. I guess it's a rare form of an autoimmune syndrome. But the good news is that it seems to be one of those things that sorts itself out as he get older. So he's out of the woods. And my brother-in-law is okay. They think it was just a panic attack. He is doing okay, though and his heart (after a lot of tests) is just fine. :) Seems there's a lot of good news going around!
Yesterday was my birthday and I'm now 24. It's nice to be a year older. Jeff took me out to dinner on Saturday and my mom sent me some new scrap booking supplies. But yesterday I spent the time with my puppy and a favorite movie. (Jeff had class.) It was relaxing. (I didn't make it through the first 20 minutes of the movie though...tired!)
Jeff is getting more excited about this baby. I am too! We haven't told anyone in our families yet (so all of you who have contact with my families and read this...don't say anything!). Actually, Jeff's parents already know. We're going to wait and tell my parents when they come to visit next month, and everyone else, when I'm at 12 weeks. (First part of November.) We were thinking of a couple of ways to tell my parents, because their reaction will be the most fun. We were thinking of either giving them a card that says Congrats to the new Grandparents! Or doing the fortune cookie thing and having Chinese for dinner that night. (Anyone know where I can get custom fortune cookies for this? The ones I can find you have to order 200 or more.) Or we were thinking of telling my Mom to make sure she takes time off in May. And when she asks why, we'll tell her. In any case, those are some ideas we're throwing around. Anyone want to vote on their favorite? :) I'd appreciate it! :)
I had a long talk with my mom yesterday about stuff and everything that's going on. It's so hard not to tell her about the baby. We talk about almost everything. Turns out my cousin is also pregnant and due in May too. So we'll have second cousins very close in age. Should be fun!
I'm going in for another beta on Monday, and then I have my scheduled sonogram on October first. Hopefully we'll see a heartbeat! And I hope my numbers go up great too.
Until next time,
Cat
