Catherine's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 30, 2004

Where did July go? It seems like only yesterday I was doing my first IUI on the 4th...and now it's the 30th! Wow!!!

I have another IUI today! In about 15 minutes actually. I'm a little scared about this IUI because I really don't want to be set up for another disappointment. I'm starting to really shy away from anything baby in the 2ww, just to save my feelings a bit. Now, I don't know if it's the meds or what but I must have cried at least 3 times today when I thought about no bfp at the end of this cycle. I know, I know, I have to think positive. It's the only way to keep up with all this disappointment. But I'm allowed a few days of worry, right?

My temps shot up this morning, and a positive OPK last night so...hopefully this IUI will be timed right! No peak on my monitor this month...sigh...

On happier notes, Jeff and my 3rd anniversary is next Wednesday! 3 years! I'm looking forward to this weekend, since we are going to West Virginia for some much need R&R. We're going to Blackwater Falls. Apparently the water looks dark because of all the vegetation growing there. We're going to do some hiking, some horseback riding, and strolling around the lake. Just me and Jeff and no ringing phones or demanding people. Sigh...I can't wait! I'll tell you more about it when I get back.

We're going to board the puppy, and hopefully that will be okay with her. My old dog, Nessie, sulked every time we boarded her so I hope that Cinder is a little different. Oh, and something added to Cinder's trick back of sitting, laying down, and staying (sometimes), we've added speak and shake. She's so cute with shake because she tries to put her paw up as far as she can, and falls over sometimes. What a doll. (Can you tell I really love this dog?)

Anyway, time to be off! Wish me luck!
