Catherine's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 10, 2004

The RE's appointment today was so nice. It was just great to sit down with someone who had the power to do things! It was fun to go and see all the other docs who I know and have them meet Jeff. Jeff is pleased with the direction this is taking and we've already filled our prescriptions. :)

We talked about Jeff's SA and how his white blood cell count is high. Dr. K said that it's not overly high, but it's still over the normal range. This can effect the morphology of his sperm. He gave Jeff some antibiotics to take for 2 weeks and then an order for a repeat SA after that.

For me, he gave me 50 mgs of clomid to take next cycle during days 3-7 of my cycle. He also wants me to do a bunch of blood work to check my thyroid, prolactin, and progesterone. He also wanted me to go get an HSG. So any stories, good or bad about that would be appreciated! Could you go back to work after? Or drive? I'm just not sure what to expect.

Other than that, things went really great. I really enjoy talking to Dr. K and he had some really good ideas. I sent him a few charts and he said he doesn't think my lutel phase is long enough. So hopefully the clomid will help out with that. Now it's just waiting for the next cycle to start to get going with all this testing!

My fertility monitor finally changed to high 2 days ago! So I am still waiting to O and I'm on cd 22. It just frustrates me that I wait almost a month to ovulate! I'm normally not that bad. Dr. K says clomid will help with that.

Sorry, I don't have time to go over this and check the spelling. More next week!
