I'm feeling very tired lately. My work is so short staffed. It makes for very long, stressful days. I get home tired and little things upset me because I feel like I can’t focus on anything. I can't wait till we hire more people so things might be a little less stressful at work!
My temps have been wacky this month and I think I may have just ovulated yesterday or today. So I'm looking at a long cycle again. But hopefully not into the 40 day range! I suppose at this point nothing surprises me but I did love having a few cycles of 28 days in a row. Now if only I could be that consistent all the time.
Things are moving forward with getting testing done. Since we have HMO insurance, we have to get a referral from our primary care physician to go to a specialist. So we made an appointment to talk to our pcp in 2 weeks! I've also convinced Jeff to actually go and just have the consult with the RE and see what they have to offer. He agreed and so hopefully that will happen the beginning of March. He also gets his SA done the end of this month so things are moving along. I am getting really excited that things are starting to move. I hate being stuck in limbo and I feel like we're moving out of it. :)
Jeff has been so sweet to me lately. We've been having a lot of bad weather and he is able to work from home a few days last week. One night as a surprise, he moved all of our furniture in our living room and set up an indoor picnic and made a lovely dinner of macaroni and cheese and garlic toast. It may not sound tasty but it's one of our favorites. We turned off the lights and had some candlelight and just talked and ate and enjoyed each other's company. It was very sweet and relaxing. He also presented me with an early Valentine's Day present of a fertility monitor! I'm so excited to use it to see if it helps at all. I never liked the OPKs because I had a hard time taking them at the same time every day and not peeing for hours before. At least with the fertility monitor I can use fmu and not have to worry about holding it. :) Jeff is so sweet. I love him so much.
Our house hunting is also beginning to start up. We meet with our realtor this weekend to discuss what things we're looking for in a house and what we expect. We're looking for something small enough for just the 2 of us and big enough so when we do have a family, we'll still have some room. All I want is a townhouse with 3 bedrooms and a fenced in yard so we can finally get that dog I've been dreaming about for awhile. Jeff wants something close to work and to the metro since he'll be the one driving now. I'm sure we'll find something that we like in no time.
We've experienced our first ice storm. Jeff got to stay home and work from home but I had to brave the ice and get into work. One day last week I spent half an hour in the morning chipping off my car, just so I could open the door! It was amazing. But very beautiful too. I loved the way it coated everything and made it shine. Of course, if it could stay off the roads, that'd be better. I am happy to say that it feels like winter here (finally). One thing that's been very different than Utah is the number of birds that are still here. And Canadian Geese too! I always thought they went south for the winter, but I keep telling myself that this is south! There is a flock of geese that live near my work and they fly around my building a lot and it's just so fun to see them.
