Catherine's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 21, 2004

It's already the end of January and I'm still having a hard time reminding myself that it's 2004, not 2003. Anyone have that problem too? Can someone let me know that I'm not crazy with my dates?! :)

Well, an amazingly small amount has happened since I last wrote. A few key things are happening, though so I'll give you a brief overview.

My DH is being investigated by the FBI for his work. The investigator went to Utah and talked to all of our friends and family there. We've been having a good time hearing from everyone and what they told the investigator. My parents did scare my aunt, though. My parents and my aunt and uncle live about a block away and the investigator needed to talk to a neighbor since we lived with them for a few months. So my parents call up my aunt and warn her that the FBI is on the way to her house. Scared her to death! :) But she was a good sport and had great things to say about my wonderful husband. So has everyone. :) And he really is a wonderful guy. :)

The FBI is coming to our house on Saturday to talk to us for a few hours. What could possibly take a few hours?! So I'm very curious what type of questions they ask us.

We finally got our insurance cards (yay!) so now my DH has no excuse not to go get his SA done. He'll probably do it next week. That means he'll be able to ride to work with me one day and I can drop him at the metro station after. I'll let you know the results of that when we hear.

Cycle 16 started last weekend, and I was bummed. Of course. I had a hard time at church this past week because I was talking to my visiting teacher (our church has the women visit each other. We are assigned a partner we visit typically 2-4 ladies in the ward each month. So my visiting teacher is who comes to see me.) about the whole ttc thing and she told me that we have plenty of time. Ugh, I hate hearing that now. Seems like everyone at church is pregnant or just had a baby. And that is so hard to take week after week. I had a good cry on the way home from church that made me feel better but gave me a huge headache. So Jeff cooked dinner and we watched Lord of the Rings, which made me feel even better. :) I love that movie.

Anyway, we're moving forward with our loan for our house. We're in the process of getting it pre-approved and then we can start house hunting! I can't wait! The sooner we get into a house the sooner Jeff can be closer to work and we can start infertility treatments.

Welcome to the new diary writers! And good luck to Stacy on her quest for IVF or adoption. I hope you really do find what makes you feel the most comfortable. And happy birthday my friend Amy! :)
