Jackie P's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 22, 2001

I can't believe it!! I'm pregnant!! I'm still in shock and on cloud nine all at the same time. I thought it was going to be onto cycle #5 and my last set of test sticks for my monitor but a HPT has proved me wrong.

I started feeling sick Wed.Write me back with those dates!!!! We went fishing all day and on the way home DH asked if I thought I might be PG. I din't think so. I thought it was too soon to feel sick. AF wasn't due until Saturday (today). The next day I had a poodle to groom and could hardly make it through the hour and 15 minutes that it takes me. I thought this to be so weird! I remembered feeling like that last summer when I found out I was PG. That "Don't move or I might puke!!" feeling. :-) I got out a pack of 3 HPT's I had in the cupboard and they said you can test any time of day. So I took one and got a faint line. I was shocked!! I told DH and he was thrilled!!! So we went out to dinner last night to celebrate my + HPT and our anniversary which is Sun. (6 years!) He made me take another test this morning before he left for work just to be sure. Another positive!! I could just scream!!!

We aren't telling very many people until we hear a heartbeat this time. Something I never got to do with my first PG. As exciting as all this may be, I am worried I will lose this one too. Just our parents and DH's sister know. I was even going to wait until Monday to post my good news here but thought why? Of course I have to tell all you gals!!!

I'll be spreading some of this "LUCKY" baby dust!!

Love, Jackie
