Introduction
Hello! I hope everyone had a great New Year's! My nine days of vacation ended last night at 11 p.m. so I am back to the daily grind. I worked midnight shift last night and boy was I busy! I was really surprised but we only arrested one DUI offender but the family and/or domestic calls were flowing in all night long. DH spent New Year's with his brother and sister's families and his dad and his wife who are visiting from California.
Well, I finally got a peak reading, two days to be exact. I was so surprised Friday evening I was dancing around the house with my monitor in hand. DH was not amused because we had company but it was my SIL and his brother so they knew what was going on. The bad thing about it is this will be a wasted ovulation because I am waiting another month so I can take 12 weeks off with pay instead of just six weeks. I think I can sacrifice that to spend six more weeks with my precious child. I am just very happy it detected a peak day! It was really strange because I got a second peak reading on Saturday and I had the worst stabbing pain in my left side which was probably the egg! I thought well, maybe the egg was breaking off the left ovary and pushed its way through the blocked left fallopian tube ... great wishful thinking, huh?! I try to stay positive about the left tube being blocked because the doctor told me it is possible for the right fallopian tube to grab the egg from the left side so ya just never now ... MIRACLES do happen.
DH and I were at a New Year's party and I wanted so badly to come home and DTD but I restrained! It was funny because I could see a little glimmer of hope in DH's eyes when I explained the peak reading, my symptoms and the pain in my left side. We will move forward, head high, positive thoughts and monitor in hand and ready to fight the battle next month!
Again welcome to all the new diary writers! Congratulations to Jamie M. who already received the positive test! Good luck to all the ladies on the 2ww! I know I am forgetting something but I am writing this Monday morning after I just got off work and I have been awake for 24 hours again!
Have a great week!!!!
Love and hugs,
Carmajo
