Hello ladies! I hope everyone had a good holiday season. DH and I have both been on vacation since the 22nd and I am loving it. We have went to see two movies, “Cast Away” and “Unbreakable.” I really liked both movies a lot but “Unbreakable” was kind of on the weird side.
We still have one Christmas to celebrate this weekend, with DH's dad who is flying in from California. He is going to be in for a big surprise with the big weather change. We are supposed to get two to four more inches of snow Friday night so I hope his flight will not have any trouble coming into Indy.
Sorry I have not posted much and I totally forgot to send an entry for the 24/25 because I was busy with Christmas.
I went to the doctor on the 22nd for a follow-up visit to further our TTC game plan. I don't know why but for some reason I was really depressed once I got to his office. I guess I never in my wildest nightmare thought we would have to try this hard to have a family. My doctor gave me the choice of either going to a specialist now or trying Clomid with him. I chose the Clomid with him for a few reasons but mainly because I hate changing doctors and I am not too wild of only having a choice of two RE practices to choose from.
I got my prescription for the Clomid and called the insurance company and of course got the runaround. I carry health insurance that is primary for me which will not pay for it but DH's insurance will. I called the pharmacy benefits program and they have to speak with the doctor's office before they can approve it. I called the doctor's office yesterday and they are going to work on getting it approved. I am not going to start it for two more cycles because of a short-term disability policy. At my job we have to use sick leave for maternity leave and if you run out of sick leave you get $50 (yes -- fifty dollars) a week for short-term disability. I took out an additional short-term policy just in case I run out of sick leave and it will not pay maternity benefits for 10 months except for complications of pregnancy. I was going to have to wait one more month anyway so two months will be nothing compared to the time we have been trying.
Does anyone out there have Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield? This is DH's health insurance and I was just wondering if anyone else had infertility benefits for care and treatment.
On to a better topic, I had a wonderful Christmas. I was really surprised that DH picked out some really nice clothes for me. We spent Christmas Eve with DH's family and had a wonderful time. It is a tradition each year for all of the kids to get Christmas pj's from grandma and get their picture taken with them on under the tree. Well this year my mil got me a pair of pj's so I participated in the kids’ picture! It was really fun! I held the two smallest, Isabella and Drew, and the rest of the kids stood around me. It is going to be such a cute picture!!
Today is cd18 and no peak reading yet but I am not worrying because my cycles are usually 34-36 days long. I am starting to get some ovulation symptoms so wouldn't it be nice to get pregnant and not have to take the Clomid! It would be a dream come true!
Have a safe and happy new year! I will be working when we ring in the new year! Hugs to everyone!!
