Dear diary,
I just wanted to start one entry with that! Hopefully
one day I can pass this preconception diary down to my
daughter or son (I am not the least bit picky).
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. DH and I got up early this morning and went out for breakfast, yummy!! We then decided to go to the mall and walk our breakfast off! Luckily we didn't really have any shopping to do because I am just about finished. We decided to go to a matinee movie of "The Grinch" and I LOVED it! DH loved it too! It was so sweet watching him watching the kids' reactions around us in the theater. We both agreed today that Christmas will be so special when we have children to share it with. I can't wait!!!!
As I was saying about the Christmas shopping, I just about finished. I am going to be lazy and order the last few gifts online! I ordered all of the kids toys online last year and I loved not having to shop in the crowded stores. I am not much for shopping; I know that is anti-woman but I am weird and I totally hate crowds in confined spaces like aisles at Wal-Mart or any department store.
I took the next step in my infertility quest, finally! I scheduled an appointment with my regular OB/GYN doctor for Dec. 22 to talk to him about a referral to see a RE. My last appointment with him was in October and he told me to call him back and schedule an appointment if I am not pregnant in the next two cycles so there I am. I am really not sure what he will do. I am kind of thinking he will want to try a few cycles on Clomid. I am open to any suggestions at this point. I am so anxious to start using my monitor. I have read my instructions several times and even practiced setting the cycle day. I know I am very strange!
I only have three weeks left until I am on vacation!!! I have not had Christmas off in five years! The only benefit of seniority at my job is holiday vacations! I am moving up the totem pole! I am going to be off from Dec. 22 through Dec. 31. The only real bummer of this is that I go back on Jan. 1 midnight shift which actually starts at 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Luckily, DH will not be alone because his dad and his stepmom will be visiting from California. I will celebrating the true millennium with myself and five police officers, now that really stinks! I mean really stinks because I will be working in dispatch ALONE when midnight strikes!
I have a friend who is going through a tough time right now with an early pregnancy. DF has had two previous miscarriages due to hormonal problems. Her doctor started her on Clomid a few months after her last miscarriage and she got pregnant on the second cycle. The doctor is convinced that she has a tubal pregnancy because of the hCG levels not rising fast enough and due to the pain and spotting she was having. This past Friday she went in for vaginal ultrasound and he did not find anything in the tube or in the uterus. She is convinced that she is only about three weeks along and that it was too small to see on the ultrasound. I sure hope she is right. For everyone who reads this please say a little prayer for Kim.
Hey, has anyone been to the recipe Web site for iParenting? I just love it! I have submitted a recipe and have a lot more I am working on. I am always looking for new cooking ideas!
Well, I better sign off for now! Congratulations to all the pregnant teammates!! Best wishes to everyone and have a safe holiday season!
Hugs,
Carmajo
