Carmajo B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 27, 2001

Today was my second u/s at 10 weeks and I am truely amazed at the technology today.
I still measured a week behind at 9week1day
so my due date was changed yet again to March 31, 2002. Of course with my bicornate uterus according to the doc I will probably deliver at 34-36 weeks depending on when the baby starts getting cramped for space.

I had another internal ultrasound and I was tearful the whole way through it. The baby kicked and moved her (my prediction) the whole time. I was really shocked because I could clearly see the head, arms, cord and the legs perfectly. The doctor made a perfect tape which I know will get played over and over until my next ultrasound at 16-18 weeks. Rob did not get to go with me today so he added a little sound bite to it of the baby's heartbeat at a strong 175bpm.
It was really awesome because at the end of the ultrasound I saw a tear fall from the doctor's eye and a big sigh of relief. He told me he was really pleased with the ultrasound and that he had been really worried about me because of all of the spotting.

As you can tell, I am keeping a much better positive attitude and have started the shopping and planning phase. I catch myself in the maternity or baby isle at every store.
I guess today just made this pregnancy seem so much more real because things are progressing nicely.

Good luck to all the ladies on the 2WW! I am sending alot of **baby dust** out with this entry (which also includes some of the morning sickness hormones, sorry!)

Love and Hugs,
