Carmajo B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 1, 2001

Hello to everyone!

This will be a short but sweet entry with an APB for my lost egg!!! I am on cd14 and the last 5 days have been high fertility on my monitor. I am getting impatient here! I took the clomiphene (generic clomid) cd3-7 so I figured once I got the high fertility reading that meant YES the clomiphene was working but I yet to have the ultimate "peak" reading. I don't want to jinx myself but I think it is just around the corner because I am having some cramping today. I will calm down and give the egg a few more days then I am going to notify the CIA, FBI and whatever agency I can get a hold of...heck I may just need to contact Sherlock Holmes.

On the non-TTC front I have two more days to work until I have a much anticipated two days in a row off. YEAH!! Sunday Rob and I are going shopping for summer clothes for our vacation. Monday I am going to spend a relaxing day at home by myself.

WARNING--This next subject is very sad!
I don't think I have mentioned this story and sorry I know this will outrage all of the women here but I just wanted to share what I see everyday in my job. Two weeks ago we arrested a women and her 16 year old son for shoplifting baby formula and Monostat. I know what a combo! While a few employee was fingerprinting her she decided to go into labor. This lady claimed to be 38 weeks pregnant with her 8th child. 12 months prior she delivered a set of twins. I immediatley dispatched a medic to remove her from our jail. I could just imagine if we delivered a baby in the jail area...it would not be a pretty sight considering everything is stainless steel. Well to make a long story short we took her to the hospital where my MIL works in the "special care nursery". The lady had a baby boy the next day after several attempts to escape from the hospital. She was wanted by a neighboring Sheriff office for a theft charge. We later found out this lady was on methadone for herione addiction. I know that outrages me also! Well the next day after the baby was born she came to the special care nursery and feed him. My MIL told me she asked to go outside to smoke a cigarette. Well she never came back! Abandoned that precious little boy! Needless to say Childrens' Services was taking custody of him upon discharge but she just left! My MIL told me they nicknamed the baby "christopher" and he was precious!
This just makes me realize Rob and I need to get up off our butts and get our foster care license. We could be the family taking this newborn home. I know he will have withdrawl symptoms but just because his mother did this to him does not mean he should suffer throughout his life. This little boy deserves a family like anyone of us could give him.

Well I better jump down off my soap box and quit while I can. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hugs,

Carmajo
