Just a quick not to say that we made it in the house - only with a few snags. Settlement went without a hitch but the walk-thru was a nightmare. We had a 2 page list of things to do for the builder. I think what had me the most upset was we upgraded our carpet and they stained the bannisters after the carpet was in, you know the rest. And they managed to scratch the floor in the master bath badly now we are playing a game between the floor co and the builder. The builder says it wasnt them, the floor co says it was fine when it was installed. In several areas it is cut all the way through, one way or another it will be changed. I am still fighting with them to fix things, they havent been here once in the 2 weeks we have been in. I leave messages on a daily basis. We are giving them 30 days to fix everything and if they dont, we are getting a lawyer involved. Shouldnt have to be like this though.
I am loving being at home. Just unpacking boxes a little at a time and painting a couple of the rooms. I have the laundry room finishes- its a deep mauve color. I am still waiting for my border to arrive. The office is a nice blueberry color. I am still working on the kitchen- its going to have an undercoat of a bright yellow and then I am raggin on a really light yellow over top. I have the undercoat finished today and will start the ragging tomorrow. Needless to say, I am keeping myself busy.
The dogs love the new house. madeline, my baby (the bassett) has found a favorite nap place. Its right in front of the fireplace- the sun shines in the side windows. As long as the fire is on and the sun is shinning, she is right there asleep. Too cute!
No news on the baby front. Af should start any time now- I woke to cramps this am. ANother cycle that was a bust. Brendan and I have decided to start treatments again in January after the holidays. I am nervous but excited. Maybe with a little luck his count will have improved and a few IUI's will do the trick!
Hugs to all
J
