The making of a mircale

Brendan had his surgery on Friday and things went wonderfully! We even had a bit of a surprise, you could say! When we started out, we were under the impression that his varicocele was small and that repairing it would be the best course of action. The urologist/surgeon came in and spoke to us prior to the surgery, went over the details and said that the procedure is a quick 30-45 minutes and he would be back in recovery within an hour. Before I knew it, it was over an hour, then 2 hours and then 3 and I paniced. Finally after 3.5 hours, the doctor came out and said that it wasnt what they expected that he had a huge varicocele. She said that every time they thought they had the vein blocked and sent to dye through, it escaped so they went back in. She said that she would expect we will be pg by Christmas. It was the most wonderful news I had received in some time. That leads me into my next move.

The resignation

I have worked at the same place for almost 11 years now. I have been a very dedicated employee and moved up through the ranks over the years. I seemed to have one thing that was against me- I have worked in almost every department and whenever a whole needed to be filled, I was the answer. And as dedicated as I was, I always did what they wanted, went where they needed and took all the problems of the organization as my own. As you can imagine, my stress level is through the rough. Yesterday after much thought, something happened that just was the icing on the cake. Today, I resigned. Yes, you heard it, I resigned. Quit. Done with. Over. And what a relief I feel- I feel like this HUGE rock has been kicked from my shoulders and I have been set free. Its amazing! Now I am ready to be just a stay at home wife and do everything within my power to become a mom!

Hugs to all,
Jackie
