This is going to be a short entry, since it's pretty late. I am working on getting a job. I am scared to death. I didn't mention it before, because I wasn't sure I wanted to work, I mean like within 10 months. I have always known I've wanted to work, but just not now. There's the rub, you can't get a great job later, unless you just plain get a job now. It just wouldn't be possible for me to be a SAHM all my life, since Al won't be around forever. And I'm not sure I could do that. I do wish I could be around the entire first year, but that's not looking possible. You just don't quit working for a year and still have a job when you come back.

Al burned an entire potholder today. It smells like a BBQ from hell in our house. It was sitting on the stove, on the burner, and he turned on the wrong burner, and it went up in flames. He's done stuff like this before, and I find it very disturbing. Once, when I was staying with my parents over Christmas, he melted an entire aluminum pot. It was nothing but a little puddle when I next saw it. He frequently does things like this. Absent-minded. Scary. I worry about leaving him with Alexandria (if I ever have to) to go on job interviews or something. I'd better install a good smoke detector. Well, that's all the new from here.
