ttc #2 c-(2-4) cd12
Ahh, to be in the fertile time of my cycle (according to my temperatures), and not doing anything about it! I am, however, learning important things about my cycle.
This week has been mildly eventful, so I will cover all the specifics, starting with my annual gyn exam on Thursday. I really liked my midwife, Jerri. She was very friendly, spent a lot of time with me, and even paused at the end of the exam to see if I had any more questions. I told her in a few months my husband and I were going to be ttc, and she told me to give the office a call when I wanted to start my prenatal vitamins. I think I will be doing that at the end of this month. I am just waiting to get the results of my pap, which I hope turns out all clear. I had an abnormal one once, and it was about the most terrible experience I ever had, from the first phone call, to the final treatment. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I also gave in and made a chiropractor appointment. I had such severe pain on Wednesday night last week, that I called them at midnight. I didn’t get a hold of anyone, but they called me back the following morning (while I was in the shower, no less) and we finally scheduled an appointment for me this Tuesday (today). Dr. S was very friendly, and I liked her personality. I think she thinks I am going to be a problem patient. I have quite the sense of humor, and I cracked my neck while I was in there, which totally horrified her. There goes another habit of mine that I am not allowed to do any more. Along with biting the sides of my mouth (which I somehow kicked while we moved down here! Yay!), and making my teeth click together, because they move a little. The dentist gave me heck for that one. Since I don’t drink, and I don’t smoke…what else is there for me? Kill joys, I tell you.
Anyway, I am hoping she can fix my hip and back problems. I hope so, since she already went through my deductible, and hasn’t done a damn thing for me. $211 is what this cost me. I found out some interesting things, though. My left leg is ½ inch shorter (which may explain why I had shin splints which turned into stress fractures in high school). I also scored terribly on their “whole body” exam. I had poor bicep reaction (they hit some part on my arm with a little hammer, and nothing happened), same with my Achilles’ heel, and some other parts. My lower back is the main problem, though. I go for my first adjustment tomorrow. I am hoping this will work for me, because I don’t see many other attractive options. Oh, and surgery is *not* an option (ha, ha).
I rescheduled my varivax (chicken pox shot) for November 6th. If only I could remember what time…Actually, I am impressed with myself, I usually put that stuff off. (Have we seen this before?) I am trying to find out when I can schedule my final Hepatitis B shot, it’s still on for December 20th. I think I can do the 6th for it, I just need to check.
Well, I think that sums it up for this week. I want to hear some good news, so someone needs to announce a pregnancy, okay? Have an awesome week!
