Okay, for those of you who like this sort of thing…
ttc #2 c-(2-4) cd4 (as in, 2-4 cycles away from actively ttc!)
Well, well, well… look what the cat dragged in! I now have a degree in Chemistry, ACS Certified, just like I wanted, as well as my math minor! I am attending graduate school at University of Illinois, going for my Ph.D. (Chemical Biology is my focus) and I am hating every minute of it! Do I sound cheerful? I am now, but most of the time I am not. There is nothing I would like more in the world than to be able to stay at home with Alexandria, and to be a SAHM. But, I promised an update, so here I am!
Alexandria and I got our chicken pox shots the last week of September, and the next (and last) one for me is going to be December 20th. After that, I am supposed to wait about 3 months before TTC, so that is going to be the plan. I think we’re planning on starting (this time for sure!) in March/April. I suffered no ill effect from the vaccination, and neither did Alexandria. I was really relieved about that, I did not want to come down with the virus (nor Alexandria!).
I also finally decided to start temping. I also bought that TCOYF software, so it can pretty much tell me what to do without any thought on my part. So far, it’s pretty neat. I am enjoying hearing what’s going on in my body.
Does it not pay to look at the internet, or what? I just looked up vaccination info from the CDC, and they said I can get my second shot 4-8 weeks after the first, and I can start TTC one month thereafter! Guess who I’m going to believe? I am going to reschedule my appointment for the shot first thing tomorrow! Maybe I will be ready to roll before April! I am pretty excited, can you tell?
Also, this Thursday, I have a routine gyn appointment, and I am taking some chances…I think AF will be over by the time the appointment occurs, but I am cutting it pretty close. I don’t want to reschedule, because it took me three months to get this appointment! I have some prenatal vitamins I need to be prescribed and a few other things (really minor) that I want to hash out.
I also am having some terrible problems with my back. I feel like an invalid at 22. I leaned over one night to pick up a blanket off the floor (from the bed) and my back immediately seized up. It had been acting up lately, but never so often and for such a long time (this has been reoccurring over the period of the last month or so, and I’ve had back trouble before, but give it a week and it’s gone). I am considering making a chiropractor visit, which I am less than thrilled about, but I am at the point where I would dearly love to not be hurting all the time.
I also lost some weight since I last wrote, I finally fit into my prepregnancy sized jeans, almost 2 years after the fact, but I am ready to start it all over again! I now weigh about 134, which is a weight I am happy with. I started running again, it’s really the only time my back doesn’t hurt. I try to go every day (remember, I just started this!) but didn’t Sunday because of my back, and today because I got up too late.
Well, this has become quite the entry! It feels good to be back! Best of luck to those who are still on their journeys…and congrats to Marianne, I am rooting for you! And, you too, Nino, congrats! Soon, I hope to join you ladies…
