Everything but the egg…AF made sure to show up…the day before our anniversary, to add insult to injury. (According to my software, I didn’t ovulate this month.) As of the 26th, Al and I have been married 5 years. It certainly doesn’t feel that long. However, this was one of our poorer celebrations. Al went in for surgery on the 25th. He had a number of polyps removed from his nose. I spent that day running from here to there, and by the time 10:00 p.m. rolled around, I knew I was going to be sick. Every bone hurt in my body, and I had a sore throat, not to mention AF, and all the joy she brings. Anyway, I have a minor cold that has gotten better (I feel tons better than how I felt on Saturday morning).
Al’s surgery was uneventful. It took 3 hours, and they corrected a crooked septum, and put a splint in there, as well as removed all the polyps he had. Hopefully this will clear up all the problems he’s been having. His nose actually isn’t bleeding as much anymore, either. They also fixed the shape of his nostrils. They’re now round instead of more like slits. I am somewhat interested in how they do this surgery, but I lack the stomach to have watched it. I tend to want to pass out when viewing minor surgery. I would have liked to be there, at least in the waiting room and what all, but we know of no one to watch Alexandria, so it was all up to me.
Anyway, everything turned out okay, so that’s all that matters. I was worried there would be complications, or worse, but he’s doing great. He does have pain meds that he takes, but they don’t seem to knock him out. He’s bumping around downstairs doing dishes, because he can’t stand how much water I use when I do them. Gotta love that!
Well, I am hoping I get better, and that someone out there gets that + sign!
