Becky's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 2, 2000

Happy New Year!!!! Well, it's been the weirdest month TTC. I was due to 'O' last Thursday (Dec. 31st). On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I had heaps and heaps of EWCM. Now, this has happened to me before and I haven't O'd for at least 3 days and as we were so busy with Christmas I didn't have time to give it any thought. On Tuesday, Dec. 29th, I did an OPK that was negative but the test line was quite strong but not a definite positive. I thought I was just on track to 'O' a few days later, on Wednesday I tested again, fully expecting a positive, and was rather shocked to have a clear neg. Thursday morning I took my temps and they were up but I didn't really think too much of it. Thursday's OPK was another definite neg and my temps on Friday morning were definitely post 'O' temps -- so when did I 'O'??? I have no idea except that it was probably Sunday or Monday. Thankfully we DTD Christmas night which gives us a bit of a chance, but not as good as usual. I guess I'm about 7/8 days PO.

We had the most perfect Christmas surrounded by our wonderful families and on New Years Eve we went down to watch the fireworks at midnight. Anyone who saw Sydney's fireworks would have to agree they were the most spectacular display in the world. I have never seen anything like it.

My baby fish are getting really big, I have 29 baby Black Moores and about 15 baby Koi, they are super cute.

Life here is just total bliss; I'm so enjoying doing nothing, being able to read when ever I want, shopping when my heart so desires, all those wonderful things you can do when you have no small children -- I'm making the most of it. I have an appointment to see my OB in early January, we'll have been trying then for 9 months. I know that that isn't the longest of times but I just need to be reassured. I think I've said before that my lesson in this life is to learn patience, this is being made abundantly clear, and I'm learning. I'm not sure if I will test before next week's update but if I do I'll try and post it in my 'talk to me' site. (I've had lots of difficulty trying to log on to this).

Take Care

Becky
